Yes its the same Paul Walker, and he's a real car enthusiast, more so than many think.
And he really 'can' drive.

Paul is a great guy, he really loves driving and is a true enthusiast. I spent sometime talking to him about the E92 chassis. The class he is competing in is very competitive, street tire class has 4 - 5 franchise teams that really fight it out every single race thus his so-so performance in terms of podium finish.

Let's see how the car does with the new supercharger set up, it'll definitely put him a good 100+hp above the N54 engines...

You guys should come out to Willow Springs this weekend to join the HPDE and watch. I'll be down racing in the enthusiast class as well..

Just thought I would share this video that we shot yesterday of our E92 M3 Redline Time Attack car being shaken down by G-Stig @ Big Willow with the newly found HP provided by a Gintani Super Charger System.

Enjoy!
engine sounds weird and his driving skills seem questionable.

1stly, that's not him driving, it's G-stig.

No offense but I am pretty darn sure that he's a better driver than 99.9% of people in this forum. I've seen him drive in race events and he has set a few record lap times.

Engine sound is because of the supercharger and the position of the camera..

Only the perception, really. What truly matters:

Very cool that Paul is into cars. A buddy of mine said that he had or has a Porsche GT3 and that Jason Statham has a GT2 and that he was at an event that they showed up to... Apparently Jason can't drive for sh%t, and that he spun the GT2 a few times (easy to do for a nube) but that apparently Paul has the "red mist"

Maybe he's trying to work his way up to Paul Newman status....

I'm at work otherwise I'd be watching the clip.

What I've been trying to say...
Every M3 driver thinks they can drive until reality kicks in, and many times people get hurt, either their butts/egos or real physical harm.

Jason is actually a very very competent driver, and I would say more so than the general public as well, and that means 99% of this forum, no disrespect.
Just a reality check.

I'm with you on this... and everytime I see a dude who has absolutely no clue about cars start bragging that he can road race my ass, I always think of this quote.

"race car driving is like sex every man thinks hes good at it."

Correct,

G-Stig is driving, and as most people know, he's no slouch.

I appreciate all of the comments!

......and yes, it is THE Paul Walker for those who asked

His driving skills were fine, can you elaborate where his driving was lacking? His shifting was fine, his throttle input was fine, what else is there a problem that "YOU" can spot?
sigh..this is what im talking about

every M3 driver think they can drive.

Yea know how to drive and knowing how to drive fast is 2 different things. You don't seem to know the latter.
