Do you know how much you shaved the upper mounts? If ZCP shocks are 10mm shorter and you shaved the guide supports more than Dinan, I guess that adds up. Got some pictures of the modified guide supports? (Further, if I sent you a set, would you be willing to shave them for me? I'd be happy to pay an hour or two of labor... or whatever is fair.) -k |

After looking at your pics and set-up
I guess if I was to buy 2 220M Rears and run 265/35/19 up front, I should be good to go without any issues (on a stock suspension)...yes?

I do have to question why you think the H&R are better suited to the zcp equipped m over the eibach... I am contemplating a suspension change, but I was thoroughly unimpressed with how h&r springs handled on an m (the one I rode in was not a zcp equipped m to begin with, though). I have also read countless reviews that the eibach handle significantly better than the H&R, but again those were mostly non-zcp equipped cars. I would love your input since it sounds like you have done some research on the topic... Also, I am definitely checking back for the 275/35 results. I honestly can't wait to see if you can make it work, as I stated it looked almost impossible even at my zcp height. I think the set-up you have on right now looks absolutely fantastic though, I wouldn't change a thing

How are you not rubbing at full turn in the front with the 26.3" Overall Diameter of those 265/35/19s???
Did you modify the inner fender liners at all? What camber are you running? And what is your functional shock travel in mm as you sit now? BTW, looks GREAT -- and I would love 265/35/19 at the front -- but rubbing at full lock was always the problem -- and I've run as high as -3.5 camber. |

My functional shock travel in the front is about 14mm (almost .6 inches). We measured stock to be 0.7 inches of travel. I haven't found camber to have much affect at all on the inner fender clearance on these cars (laterally). Obviously longitudinally it will have an affect as it clears the actual fender better.

Majority of cars that ran or run H&R springs do not run the E36 bump-stops AND the modified upper guide supports. These two modifications are mandatory! Yes the car will ride worse if you don't make these modification because you are practically sitting on the stops even at static height. The H&R springs are better than the Eibach springs in terms of performance. The ride quality on my car and many others that run the exact same setup is pretty much like stock with a slight improvement in turn in and response. The ZCP springs handle better than the Eibach springs. The H&R springs with E36 stops and guide support modification handle better than the standard ZCP car. If it wasn't the case, I wouldn't do it on my own car and recommend it to others and would jump to coilovers.

However, this will work, especially on a stock suspension. Go for it!

Tinkering with Square setup...
This most recent thread led me to an experiment in the driveway last night:
I put OEM ZCP Rear wheels on the front last night wearing "Sticker" Pilot Super Sport 275/35/19s. It is a stock 2011 E90 M3 ZCP with no suspension mods except maxxed out front negative camber (around -1.7 degrees). The Bad: I get the same fender liner rubbing I did when I ran square OEM 18"s on my 2008 M3 Sedan. THIS WILL destroy the fender liners. I will fix those after this mission. The Good: The car feels great like this and it appears the rubbing only occurs at parking lot speeds. It looks MEAN.

This would be a nice setup as you can run a 275 front and 295 rear. Dave

I would really hate to buy to new rear wheels and new 265/35/19s to find out that it won't work... Guess I'm back to waiting for someone to actually try it out and report back that it does work before I take the plunge. Thanks for the feedback nonetheless.
