Need info for dual USB cigarette lighter adaptor

Hi guys. Is anyone using a using a USB cigarette lighter adaptor that they can give me info about? I purchased 2 different ones to charge my phone and both do not work in my 335 but they work in my wife's Lexus.

Regular car charger works so I know my cigarette lighter port is working. or if anyone has info about different types of cigarette lighters and what i should be looking for, any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I use Scosche's low profile adapters. I have them in my car and truck, no issues:

They make this dual charger, as well:

I just got a cheap one off eBay and it works fine. Iphones and Ipads have different requirements for USB charging so make sure it is compatible for those.

Make sure you have it pressed all the way into the lighter socket. I have noticed on this car that you may think you have it all the way in when you don't.

Not a problem. The "S" on the back of the Scosche jacks are backlit w/a blue LED so you know that they're on and firmly in place.

I have both Belkin and Griffin models and they all work well. I have noticed that they do tend to work their way out of the console front socket occasionally, but this hasn't been an issue with the vertical socket under the console armrest.

One thing I should note is that I am using the port in the arm rest. I'm the second owner and the original owner replaced the cig try with a sunglasses tray and cut the wires.

There is an OEM dual USB 12V socket adapter accessory... it is about $45, though.

Thanks I'm aware of that but would like to avoid that option if at all possible to avoid unnecessary cables and clutter

The OEM dual USB jack looks exactly like the one in the eBay link (no cables/clutter)... just 7 times more expensive.
