Looking for REAL WORLD RWHP DYNO Numbers for Muffler Back systems
Hey, guys in doing the research, I'm noticing it is VERY DIFFICULT to find 'CLEAN' before & after Dyno runs of 'JUST MUFFLER SYSTEMS'...
What I mean by this... is many are confused by adding 'with the ECU Tuning'... or 'With the X-Pipe/Cat Delete System'... Can we get any 'Clean' postings of (hopefully users or vendors) That show a 'Baseline' best of 3 pulls... compared to a 'Muffler exchange' best of 3 pulls? Not with Tuning... not with Cat Delete, or X-pipe... something to get clean APPLES to APPLES comparisons. Thanks for your help... it seems like there are more than a dozen choices, but it's very difficult to clearly understand a clear winner. Thanks, Dave

I know RPi has a before and after dyno of just the axle back. The gains were much more than expected.
I also know they tested the Eisenmann Race axle back. Both of these I know were "clean" tests.

Thanks Pencil... It looks like there is about 3 'clean ones'... and only 2 of this mix promising... ASR & Eisenmann.
Can we see more? And I'd prefer them to be from 'users' instead of from 'shops'... it just seems hard to find a before & after that the 'after' didn't include tuning, or an air intake of some sort. Thanks for these few links, they show some options to go with, and some not to! Thanks, Dave

You're probably not going to see an enormous difference in true power numbers from one exhaust to another. The biggest difference you will see is different dynos, conditions, part combinations, etc.

Yeah, I was thinking the cat delete may be the way to go... and tune... and leave stock mufflers. I had Supersprint Race on my M5... and loved the sound... but I really don't feel like spending even $1,500 for the axle back on the M3... But would like to see close to a 15 RWHP Gain.
