I have good and bad streaks with both creativity/skill and letter quality. You lose some, you win some...

Oh yeah, that's what I do! Sometimes it surprises me what works. But then again, sometimes I get frustrated when it won't take something that I think SHOULD work.

+1 the 330 ZHP seems like a good choice.
Plus I think you will get a little more enjoyment out of it, buschy! My second suggestion would be the Civic (warranty), and the E36 a distant third in this case.

My heart is telling me that you should go with an E36 M3..but in reality, the best all around option would be a civic. It's relatively cheap to maintain plus it'll be a good car for your kid..so my vote goes for the civic even though I love BMWs.
p.s., make sure the civic is loaded, the navigation is pretty nice. It's a fun car to drive, a good friend has one.

Apparently I'm supposed to lead the meet, so I'll be there Definitely come! The more the merrier, and the weather is looking awesome lately. Went on an hour-long aimless drive this morning, including some spirited runs through 1-3rd gear

Recommend That You Check On Insurance Costs
I think the accident rate for youthful new drivers is over 100%. Insurance will cost an arm and a leg whatever your son drives. Knowing the insurance cost before hand could influence the which car to buy decision.

for expample my 2000 ci was the same price give or take ten bux in six months as my 2009 335. which was the same six month as my e93 m3, and so on so on. I added my son as a learner on my policy and it didnt change, once he is driving i am sure it will.
