LCI vs Non-LCI

What's the difference other than one using bulbs and one using LED's?

I have seen trunks listed as pre LCI, so I wasn't sure if the actual mounting points were different or not. I was considering upgrading to the oem kit sold online that includes the harnesses, but is there any other modding that needs to be done?

For E92 ...
1- Harnesses will fit .
2- Mounting points will fit
3- You need the FRM-3 module .
4- Coding is required .

Personal I would only go for the original Oem. BMW LCI kit , because they look sharper in the dark.
2 versions are available..

1- US spec
2- Euro spec
The US spec has red blinkers and the Euro spec has amber blinkers .
I saw several US guys choose the Euro spec because of the amber blinkers .
Personal I prefer also the amber blinkers .

Is the coding required to get rid of blinking at startup due to bulb check?

These are the ones I was thinking of buying

No, bulb-check for the rears can be coded out so no need to buy the FRM.
