Sizzling noise after switch -off

I've noticed that on a hot day, with A/C on, once i switch the car off - a sizzling noise can be heard coming from the front passenger side.

I've researched and understand that others experience similar things and that it is nothing to worry about (just condensation dripping onto exhaust), but i want to know if anything can be done to eliminate this?

I previously owned an e92 in South Africa - very similar hot conditions and always used the A/C, but never ever heard such sizzling noise after switch-off...

What is your preferred grease for the block? Castrol Edge Pro or butter?

You may be able to extend or slightly re-route the condensate drip line. I have not done it on this car, but on other cars the drip line is just a 1/2" to 3/4" black rubber line that can be re-routed somewhat to avoid this kind of thing. Take a look under there and you might be able to see it.

Mmmm, bacon!

Mine does it too

Mine does it also. The sizzling plus a kind of cool 'tink-tink-tink' noise (which is apparently the exhaust contracting as it cools. Normal M3 behaviour as far as I know. Or both of ours have the same problem haha!

That tink tink noise is usually the rotors cooling. The mounts between the hat and the rotor I think.

Take care when re-routing your condensation drain line. I backed up my condenser drain one time and ended up with very, very wet carpet in the car (different car) because I tucked it out of the way when doing transmission work, then forgot about it
