I think that's a conflict of interest.

If there is a car in the Greater LA area, I am willing to pay to have the car dynoed at an independent facility. And then we'll put our standard flash in and see what happens.

That's a nice offer! I am very far though, and already have a AA tune. What i would like to figure out:
1. Did I loose any high and power with the AA tune over stock? (The car feels stronger at low rpm for sure)
2. Is Powerchip significantly better? Without huge mpg drop? (my car is my DD but I take it to the track regularly)

1. Couldn't answer that for you. But we can dyno with your AA file and then go back to stock and see what happens.

2. My opinion is yes. I haven't seen any MPG drop but usually a slight mpg gain because we optimize the tune specifically for your fuel type.

I think a few people on the boards has posted gains in MPG and said that the car was much smoother part throttle, and a new beast on top.

I don't want to discount AA's products, they are a well respected tuner. But we've come a VERY long way since our initial research and development on the M3, and I think our tunes are the best out there right now.

I would like to switch from BMW to Powerchip. Does that qualify?

Just curious what makes this more your thread than an AA thread???

It is called AA vs. Stock vs. Powerchip.... and was started by a forum user not Powerchip.

interesting, I have AA ECU flash and I am very happy with it. I guess custom ECU tune may give more HP but I am shore AA ECU don't reduce the power of the car in fact it make it smoother than stock.

Her is the graph of Mustang Dyno to prov it :
First:
Remus Race Exhaust
Evo Sport Pulleys
AFE Filter

Second: ^^+
AA X-Pipe Castles
AA ECU Tune

^^^ Good for you...glad you're happy with the tune. AA's tune sucked on my car and each car is DIFFERENT in how it responds to tunes (and mod's). Powerchip for the win .

As you said each car respond differently to tunes but it dose not mean that Powerchip is the winner. I am shore if u send the dyno charts to AA they definitely will help you.

Yeah that may be true, but I never heard anything from Omar. I like Powerchip's location as well (they're local to me), so I don't plan on changing anything up. Looks like both of our cars are making great power so....

Yeah man!

I'm still trying to plan it all out so I can squeeze in a before/after dyno.

Strange torque curve...

Second dyno also includes AA X-Pipe so you made 18WHP with AA tune and X-Pipe - I would expect more gains...in fact it wouldn't surprise me if you got those gains alone with the X-Pipe (I'd be happy with 15WHP out of X-Pipe)...

From all my research, getting the car custom dyno tuned is where the key difference is.

100% agree with you about the custom tune but I don't know if it worth $$$ for my case

I completely understand.

Since you've already spent a good amount of money on the AA tune, it would be very difficult to digest paying another grand on a second tune, even if it's better.
