I second the poster that wanted more low end grunt. I'd like way more.
Presumably, a lighter car would do that... I'd also like a mechanism to open the trunk that worked consistently. I'd get rid of that red/blue climate control knob that affects the temperature of air coming through the vents. An auto climate control should be an auto climate control - I shouldn't have to manually adjust another knob. Other than that, I love my M3 coupe more and more everyday. It's the most versatile sport coupe around, and I appreciate that when required, it errs on the side of sport, rather than versatility. Its looks have seriously grown on me too. I also LOVE the versatility, efficiency and precision of the DCT.

Think about it; you can customize EVERYTHING on a Porsche. You could end up with a car's MSRP that's $120,000 and the options on the car $130,000. Could you imagine if BMW did that lol. If the GTS could make profit, they'd bring it here.. But most people would buy a GT3 if it were similar price as an M3-GTS here. |

I've changed everything I didn't like on my car, but I'd say the biggest was probably the shifter. It's certainly not perfect now, but it's much, much better than it was.

1. TPMS would show pressure for each corner on iDrive
2. A real dipstick in addition to the electronic oil level monitor 3. Dedicated oil and water temp gauges 4. HUD 5. A configurable screen in iDrive to display Temp, RPM, and other parameters. Basically the same thing the Nissan GTR comes with from the factory.

I was assuming he only did the fronts. I know that the monoblock 6 and 4 pistons calipers look sweet. Heck, I love them on my Z06, but I didn't feel there was anything wrong with the M3s brakes for a street car. Those big ass non fixed calipers combined with huge thick rotors worked great, and I felt the M3 had plenty of braking power. Now at the track I could see the brakes fading without the proper pads and brake fluid, but again it is a street car and the pads they use already caused some people to complain of brake squeak.

1. Less weight (-200lbs)
2. MDM without iDrive 3. An exhaust that doesn't hang so low where you can see the ugliness 4. Black wheels from the factory 5. Factory black OEM Accents 6. Manual seat option or PS seats in the USA 7. Tad bit more torque down low. (4.4 liter engine will do) 8. Smoother 6MT gearbox. (1st to 2nd grind) 9. Ability to adjust steering wheel via telescoping mechanism 10. Arm rest delete option 11. 1 or 2 more inch rear fender flare

I would add a 7th gear to the 6MT. Or make 6th gear so i can be at 2k rpm at 80mph.

troof. How about just an overdrive button for 6th gear, haha. The car could get so much better gas mileage if you weren't taching 3000 RPM at 60 mph.
