Fun drives in Norcal ... got any suggestions?

Where do you guys go for your weekend drives through the twisties? My buddies and I were going to drive around, but I only know a few spots.

Big Basin Way up to Skyline then take Skyline to 92 (reverse works also)

At the main intersection on Skyline where all the bikers and restaurants are you can head towards the 1.

Anyone have any other favorite routes?

I'm up for a drive up 9 (and then maybe Skyline to 84) next week if everyone promises not to crash.

I was thinking to do Mt. Hamilton rd from SJ to Livermore ... It is a 1.5 long and fun drive

Here's one of the best places, yet it is catered toward motorcycles, but it's one of the best sites of the bay area of roads, hundreds of roads all over california. But i think might be premium? But it def. worth signing up if you drive a lot.

Yup, it's getting a clear bra done.

I used to drive Hamilton a lot in my old STi but I think it is too rough now. Have they repaved it recently? Mines is fun and relatively smooth (save for the cattle guards) but it has a lot of gravel. People following get screwed over. It's too bad since its a really fun and twisty road with a long straight section somewhere in the middle and a cool place to stop for snacks.

There are nicer drives like Redwood Rd. and Highway 9 that are in better condition, IMO.

Roger that. I go to Socal once or twice a month. It's a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't live there.

Skaggs Springs Road is the best road I've ever been on. Recommended.
