Brembo GT Racing Pack
Haven't found anything about this. Thoughts? Pricing?
Brembo Brakes - Racing Pack The application list (dated Nov 2011), says it's only available for the 380 mm front rotor: Gran Turismo Brake System Application List (pdf)

These are the competition friction rings with the curved slots in sizes to fit Brembo's aftermarket GT kit hats. They're bundled with better pads and fluid as a kit.
Expect the kit to cost in the range of $2,000 to $3,000 or so. For track day use, you shouldn't expect to see a benefit over the regular friction rings. As far as the pads are concerned, if you like the Brembo pads, just buy them separately. Ditto the fluid. |

Does not fit the us spec 380 kit hat. It is only available for the European spec 380 kit which has the M caliper. Also the 380 kit in th us has a slightly different pad shape (wider).

Thanks for the info.
I was thinking of going with the 365 mm GT kit, anyhow. Should be more than enough + better wheel selection.

In need of rotor replacement for my Brembo GT kit. I was wondering will this racing pack's rotors, which is the brembo type 3, with a size of 32mm, fits the US spec GT kit which came with a rotor size of 34mm.
Need an answer urgently to determine if I should proceed to order. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

just get Hawk DTC 70 or PAgids for your brembo... unless you just like bling bling
bleed your brakes and you'll stop like you're throwing out an anchor.... I am super happy with my brembo on the track! top notch hard braking all day with no problems. |

I won't fit. Different caliper, different pad. The hat will scrape against the brake pads if you even manage to fit it.

Rotor, bell, hardware kit, pad and brackets are different. It is no problem to use a complete European rotor kit with a US spec caliper and also the other way around Rear kit is identical in Europe and in the US. Presently I am using an European rotor kit with US spec calipers and brackets. |

I live in the US and all I have to go by are brochures and pictures in this forum: Global brochure (included in post 1) US Application List Also check out this thread I started wondering about it: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=808479 And this thread where OP post clear pictures of the fronts: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=815024 Here the fasteners look different than the McLaren fasteners on mine. The above list US spec E9X M3 380 kit as: 1N1.9003A = N caliper 380x34 rotor TUV approved E9X M3 380 kit as: 1M1.9022A = M caliper 380x32 rotor Note that the 1M 380 kit in the global brochure is the same as the US Spec 380 kit. So you may well be using that and consider it EU spec. Also, I believe that the GTS caliper is the M caliper based on specs and pictures and I am sure I will be soon confirmed by Aleks' build in my neighborhood. Rears are the same. In short, my assessments are based on data that bling consumers like myself have access to and not speculation on my part. |

Wow! Thanks. I am guessing you measured pad material and not backing plate. This tells me GTS has the M caliper as I thought.
See PDF at the end for the differences. My pad currently on my car is ME20 RCP 132. 58mm wide backing plate. See here. I have the N caliper that takes wider pads by about 5mm. Thank you!!! |

The GTS rotors are restricting which are 51mm, that s why I had shaved Off the RCP132 to 51mm. Regular pad for GTS and Euro spec brembo is RCP124. The calipers are never restricting, only the rotors. That is the reason why I also have custom bells now for the Race rotors. |
