Career question?????

Just wondering what career path I should go into since I would need to pick a major for college pretty soon. My interest is in Business and also Medical. Just cant decide wat to do .

Im a finance major and IMO being a med student requires a ton of time and money. Both are equally good choices you might be able to major in one and minor in another? Talk to your advisor and see what they have to say.

as for the poor guy who wanted some insight...i'd say b-school if you are looking for "financial success". more potential to succeed doing business...but also much more risk. going through years of schooling for med will take a long time...but the financial returns at the end will pay off. or you might just get jaded and bitter during that many years of schooling and not care.

Gotta agree with tekno on this one.
Only you can decide which career u wanna go into. Only a few people are lucky enough to have the drive, motivation, and idea of what they wanna do in life. The rest usually change their majors a few times through out their college life.

So even if we told you what you should do, chances are you will end up changing it.

For what it's worth, it seems like you're not really interested in Med so just go into Business. Dont do wut ur mom wants. Do what YOU want and be good at it.

you have the basic options: marketing, accounting, finance, management, human resources, information technology, entrapreneurship etc....

i just finished in accounting my girl is finishing entrepreneurship(sp?)....

if you have any questions, about either of those, fire away

Thanks... I'm looking foward to major in Bio and minor in Business.... I heard that Pesticide salesman make tons of money from commission and etc

Accounting is a good field to go into; as is entrepreneurship.

be a financial adviser then with business background, you get to talk to clients, earn commission on sales and big fat ass bonuses every year, but the thing is, the stress level can be quite high as there are expectations or "quotas" to achieve

if a bank/financial institution/investment firm pays you $100,000 a year, they expect you to make them more than $100,000, very simple and very true

Combine the two, Executives at the hospitals make bank! I think you just need to get a specialized MBA and practice in the field. For your undergrad heh throwing it out there consider Industrial Systems Engineering
