Anybody running 20 inch wheels and rub when turning at certain angles on a slope?
I'm running 255/30R20 ADV7.1 wheels on OEM suspension on the front of my car and it rubs only when the steering is 3/5 turned in either direction and on a slight slope(I mean slight, only a couple degrees).
I am looking at coilovers to solve the problem, but I want to be 110% sure it will be resolved. I don't want to just keep running in circles trying over and over again. Anybody have suggestions for me? I would really appreciate it! |

the stock 245/35/19 tire has a diameter of 25.75in while the tire that you are running has a diameter of 26.02in, so the current tire is a little larger than the stock tire size. the solution is for you to use a slightly smaller tire. your rubbing issue will go away if you used 245/30/20

Hi bro!! It's not tyre size it's offset that's causing tyre to rub on wheel liner.
When I had my black P40 Fronts were 20x9 ET 28. Zero rubbing with KW coilovers Then I ran 10mm spacer (ET18 and it rubbed slightly like you experiencing) When I fitted silver P40 rim was 20x9 ET 20 zero rubbing Both Tyres were 255/30/20 Call me to chat about it Mike |

I'm running 20" wheels without rubbing. See the specs in my signature.

Thanks Khalid and Slicer. I have sent an email, so we'll see what happens. My car will be off the road for a few weeks, but I'm positive about it.
At least I know what offset to run on the fronts now. |
