Neuro,

What do you do up in Brentwood? I am up there all the time to see family and for wrestling tournaments.

Took me forever to find a good shoe repair place here in Memphis but I have got one now and stick with it!

I'm a physician at Vanderbilt, in neuroradiology (interpreting CT's, MR's of the brain, spine, face, neck). Check out the Middle TN thread in the Southeastern regional forum:

We've never had a meet, just a lot of talk. I think most people who own a recent model BMW are kind of busy with work and family, but I'm sure you can persuade a few of the single, unmarried owners to meet up.

Neil, where do you live in CT? I grew up in Fairfield County.
Fairfield county is some prime real estate. Wish I could afford to live there.

I am currently in Meriden, but will be moving soon. Looking at Milford and a few other areas as options. It's tough with prices still very high.

Even a few years ago it was affordable, well pretty much anything outside of Greenwich was. Now the average is ~$680,000 in Fairfield, Darien, Westport, etc, they really have gone out of control. Milford is the closest I can hope to get right now and should make a good investment. With prices so high in most of FF county, people are moving outwards and it will only push prices higher in surrounding cities.

Mephisto are comfortable shoes, almost orthopaedic but if you are factoring in other things such as construction, quality of materials, and looks, they can't compete. They almost make Allen Edmonds look sexy.

you dont think the construction quality and materials is good with Mephisto??? Have you ever owned a pair? I can't wear mine out. In terms of good looks, I bought a new pair recently. I think the style was called Pado or something stupid, anyways, I get compliments on them all the time. The only bad thing about Mephisto is that they dont make flat shoes like Gucci etc

Here's another vote for Allen Edmonds. I own three pairs and its amazing how much more comfortable they are than my Cole Haan and Johnston and Murphy pairs.

Plus they are made right here in the good ole U.S of A. :rocks:
