How Much Should Castrol TWS 10w60 Cost?

my local dealer wants $15.63 per quart...looks like i'm down a quart so might have to pay that, but i want to get some for inventory and would love to know if there are any more reasonable sources..it may be formulated for the car but man that is a ton of money for 1.05 us quarts of oil.....

I also would like to know if there are other places to buy this oil. My car just chimed at me today telling me I'm at the minimum oil level. Unfortunately the parts department closes early on Saturdays, and are closed on Sundays.

I tried to go to Kragen, but they did't have it. Napa? Autozone?

TWS Cost and Sources

Castrol TWS is $12.50 at getbmwparts.com (Tischer BMW). They say the MSRP is $15.63 in one place and $12.60 in another. BMW part # 07510009420

Bavarian Autosport also has it for $12.95.

Locally, you'll only get it at a BMW dealer or a third party BMW repair shop (they will likely have sourced it from a local BMW dealer).

That's cheap man. Only dealer in town wants $25 . Needless to say, also buy from Tischer. Will NEVER buy anything from those thieves .

That seems backwards when BMW changes the oil for free and the dealer is the only place to get the oil.

Oil

9 months ago it was $12.25 list and I paid $11.64 with BMW club discount at my dealer.

Castrol is starting to market what I believe is a similar line of oil in the US as "Edge." It's not available in 10W-60 in the US yet, though: http://www.castrol.com/castrol/secti...tentId=7067053

But, it is available in Europe:http://www.castrol.com/castrol/produ...tentId=7027067.

We can only hope they decide to sell it here.

Edit: Just picked up a couple liters @ $11.25 with club discount ($12.50 list)

My dealer charges $12.50 per liter but have me a discount since I'm always buying stuff from them, plus, they sent me a discount card in the mail. It cost me $11.25 per liter.
