9.5 / 11" 255/285 - Recommendations?
I'm out of the performance tire loop.......
The wheels are 19x9.5 +27, 19x11 +25, street setup. The car will be lowered on RD sport springs with the OEM camber mod and somewhat aggressive alignment specs. I calculated 255/285 will give me a tiny bit of stretch for fender clearance with this mildly aggressive setup. On that note: for light street duties, and possible spirited driving - what is a good street tire that fits this criteria. I'd like to stay away from cheaping out on tires (sunny's, nakangs etc) but I don't need PS2's for my day to day. For track use I will use my stock 19's on PS2's. Vred's - don't stretch well Toyo T1R - stretch well, "ok" tire Re050's - wasn't a huge fan of these on my E46 Comments? Suggestions? |

The RE050s have a very stiff sidewall and they are heavy with a terrible ride. Don't have any experience with the VReds. Dave

You don't have any issues with your front passenger side inner fender and wiper bottle running a 265? Are you running 19's or 20's?

For an M3, I would recommend:
Bridgestone RE-11 Yokohama AD08 Dunlop Z1 Star Spec http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...y.jsp?ttid=118 And yes you can run a 265/295. 285 on 11 is going to look stretched. These are the best performance tires before going DOT-R. |

I've been thinking about 265/35x18 on 9.5x18 ET 25 fronts paired with 295/35x18 on 18x10.5 ET30 at the rear for track use. The rear wheel well has tons of room to the inside but not the outside, so the offset should increase a bit as you go wider. That puts more of the increased width to the inside. |
