I guess he got a break on a high milage car (41K Miles / 66,000 KM is quit a number).

Nice deal anyway.

2011 e90 m3, tech/premium, tint, 9200 miles - $51.5k out the door. The car was a garage queen - absolutely pristine. Couldn't be happier with it.

I was originally planning on ordering a new 2013 E92 M3 around this time with the pretty much same options as below. I had a preference toward the E90, but back when they still made the E90 I wasn't quite financially ready to buy it.

On October 22nd my wife found a gorgeous E90 on the Carmax website. I checked it out and purchased it literally a few hours later (sometimes you just know), from Carmax in Laurel, MD. I did some research and found out that it was this car:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=753271

Carmax price: $56,998 (too bad I missed the previous owner's original for-sale post, he wanted $55k even)
2011.5 (February 2011) Melbourne Red, Black Novillo Leather E90 M3
About 12,250 Miles at time of purchase (it's 19k miles as of today)

ZCP - Competition Package
ZCV – Convenience Package
ZCW – Cold Weather Package
ZP2 – Premium Package 2
2MK – M Double-clutch Transmission
403 – Moonroof
655 - Satellite Radio
752 – Enhanced Premium Sound
6NF – SmartPhone Integration

The only mod that was on there was the black replacement grille, which is exactly what I would have done myself. I also currently have a set of Blizzak LM-60s on it for the winter.

Future plans:
2013: ClearBra or VentureShield, some exhaust, plus some minor miscellaneous changes like custom coding
2014: ESS VT-625 or equivalent, baby car-seat (hopefully I can push that off to 2015 though )

Okay so I am looking at a 2010 m3 sedan 6m with;

-tech package
-comfort access
- EDC
-47k miles

-$42k

I test drove it and it was my first M3 that I have ever tested or rode in and its loud and raw. THe ehxaust seems loud, and I may get burned for this but the m3 just doesnt have that kick a turbo has. But it handles great and I love it.

Also test drove a 2012 Audi S4 6M with everything but that sport diff for the same price but with 24K miles on it. I am on the fence on both right know and I just cant figure out what to do. I still love my BMW's and I have always have had a soft spot forM3's seadans but I just need some guidance. Thanks for all your time!

DCT with M-drive
Premium
Cold Weather
Tech
EDC
Comfort Access
PDC
Carbon fiber roof

Extended warranty

Happy with my purchase! Only thing i'm dreading is the gas pump. And those cold winter days with no heated steering wheel

The M3 doesn't develop power like a FI engine where you get the near instant torque. It is linear and easier to control. It's a personal choice. I would recommend taking it for a test drive to be sure it is a good fit for you.

On the S4, the Sports Diff is the defining piece of hardware for that car. If you plan on driving on roads with curves, it is a must-have.

Between the M3 and S4, different cars with each having pros-n-cons. Fair to say, only you can decide.

I test drove both hard and I love that "raw" feel to the M3 but after driving that s4 I don't know anymore. I want the M3 souly because maintains on it seems much simpler then the S4. Either way, thanks for the help.

Looking at a 2010 M3 Sedan 6MT
47,5xx
$42,900
Space Gray

Loaded with just about everything
COLD WEATHER PKG, PREMIUM PKG, TECH PKG, PREMIUM SOUND, 19" wheels, anti-theft alarm system, moonroof, rear power shades, auto high beams, park distance control (rear), ipod/usb adapter, smartphone integration

Thoughts? I'm thinking it sounds like a decent deal. Just need to make sure to get a good extended warranty since not many miles are left.

***although I just saw Heckler's deal, and, maybe this isn't the greatest deal in comparison to that.

From dealer or PP? Seems like a decent price since you get the LCI update, but I'd definitely see what you can negotiate.

Heckler's deal is the first one I doubted as being real. It seems too good to be true.

I bought a 2008 fully-loaded 6MT E90 M3, private party, over a year ago with 1 year left on the factory warranty and 10k less miles for almost 9k less.

It is two years older, and non-LCI. Those are the two major draw backs.

You could pick up an 08 now with miles similar to yours for at least 9k less. It just depends on how long you want to look. But if that one is in great shape and you insist on having LCI, I would go for it, but shoot for 40k to make it a great deal instead of just an OK deal.

Was actually looking for a used 911 and stumbled upon a M3.

2011 E92, fully loaded, pristine condition, warranty until 6/16, and 500 miles.
Paid 58K. For that price range, 911's (C2S) were 2006 with 30K miles.

Haven't had a Bimmer in a long time, so I'm looking forward to ownership!

The maintenance/upkeep between the two would be similar. It should come down to which one better fits your driving style and DD requirement(s).

I do like the updated i-drive, so I was leaning 2009+....but the 2009 E90s are few and far between right now. Sweet spot for me would be 2009 with less miles, but stumbled across this 2010 with more miles. Thanks for the advice on pricing.

Yep, basically... Car was at a "local" (~100miles away) BMW dealership and was a lease return (PO had it for ~22 months and put on ~39K miles, though I was told those were mainly highway miles due to PO's business/home(s) being in three locations spread across Central/Southern California). But, they'd had it in inventory for ~7 months...

It was not CPO'd and I didn't get a BMW extended warranty (it was/is still in original warranty for ~19 months or ~9K miles of my ownership, I figure I'll find any major issues by then). Due to all the whiz bang of the Engine/DCT/Diff and the Electronics, I am considering getting a 3rd-party extended warranty before the original expires (so I can use my independent), and am open to suggestions/recommendations...

Fidelity Warranty Services (JM Family Enterprises) has awesome extended warranties... Greatest customer service as well. Yeah yeah I work for the company, but even so, the company prides itself on customer service and ensuring customers are always taken care of. Ok, done plugging. Do some research though, and consider fidelity warranty (FWS)
