Agree on all points - you missed - love to see the look on the <insert 2 seater sports car here> driver when you pass them on the track with 3 passengers sitting comfortably in the car....

what about the slogan? "We call it a sedan for insurance purposes"

What really feels different in the sedan vs the coupe is the driving position.
I drove a neighbors M3 sedan and to me it felt like I was sitting way more upright (like on a bucket) compared to the coupes more relaxed laid back feeling. And yes the seatbacks were at the same angles. I also felt that the coupe has more interior room in front. The sedan just felt smaller inside. But that figures since there is more room in the rear seat in the sedan. Although it certainly doesn't look like much.

So to me, in the sedan, I felt I was sitting on the seat. In the coupe, I felt I was sitting in the seat. If that makes sense.

Since I don't like 4 door sedans anyway, don't care what's under the hood, the M3 Coupe was my choice.

Buying a coupe makes it look like you bought it for yourself. A sedan is for the family Gotta keep the peace.

At the time I bought my sedan I was going from 2 cars to 1. I had a 335 coupe and a 06 Acura TL. I figured a sporty 4 door was the best route. 3 weeks after buying the e90 I realized I couldn't drive it daily so I bought a frontier cc as daily. If I had to do it again, I would probably get a coupe because I think it is more fitting as a weekend/fun ride. Been looking hard at some used clk63 BS. I really want a Gallardo so I may just hold onto the e90 a couple more years.

I'm too lazy to look for it but there was a recent thread that showed the interior measurements of both cars and I think the sedan actually has more interior room front and rear.

Oh yea...all sedans are 4 doors, BTW. Not aware of any 2 or 3 door sedans

The coupe does feel a bit roomier up front because it lacks the prominent B pillar. Im tall and sit far back in my sedan, so if I look to my left, thats all I see.

I feel the wheel arches look more muscular on the sedan too.

I had issues seeing around the b-pillar in the coupe. Not so in the sedan. The rare times someone actually uses the back seat, I'm happy I don't have to hoist everything forward to let them in. I also had hopes the dogs would get to joy-ride in it and would need windows to stick their heads out of. Alas, they're banished to the husband's truck.

I also never use the back seat, except maybe to put a couple of packages there. Why did I buy it over the coupe? I was in the market, it was local, had 5K on it, and already had most of the mods I would have considered. The phenomenal price didn't hurt either.

In the drivers seat the E92/90 felt the same to me, so when the deal presented itself I wasnt about to split hairs.

Love the sleeper look too!

To be honest, I really loved how the e92 looked better. especially with the carbon fiber roof. i (more like my wife) elected to go with sedan for future family. i have to admit, i really find the sedan more convenient now (I don't have kids yet). I'm getting an suv for my wife whenever that day comes, but I think I want to stick with the sedan. i think it looks more agressive than the coupe now.

does anyone have any info if the coupe is truly more expensive to insure than the sedan? i found it funny that both my wife and i have (no records) in which I'm paying $700/yr for my e90 m3 and for her g35 coupe, i'm paying $100. wtf!!!

I wish I could of had a wagon! I priced out the sport wagon but since it was only a 328, I decided no (now if there had been a 335...)

Mulling over a 335 vs an M3, I chose based off of future use, some exclusivity, color options (yes I am being superficial) and suspension set-up. I will eventually have to retire the track toy and this sedan will have to step up.
I loved the looks and it is different. Most M3's are coupes in these parts.
I already have an E36 coupe anyways and never had a sedan for road use.

Plus it is a "family" car, in case I ever get around to having one of those.

Sorry for the lack of cohesion, I am writing an NIH grant and my brain is fried.

I got the coupe because at the time it was well documented on the forum that sedans could be had at much bigger discounts than the coupes. Only problem was that the local dealers did not want to discount the sedan any more than the coupe. Factor in the fact that I found a local coupe with pretty much the EXACT options I would have ordered it with and the coupe came out on top. But if I had to do it all over again I would get a sedan with the DCT as I am married now and we are planning on having our first baby in a year or two. I guess at that time perhaps I will step into a new 5 series, though my goal is to get a 997.2 GT3 in 3-4 yrs...

Get the 63 BSeries... It's amazing! The Gallardo is a fashion statement against the CLK BSer'

Love the menacing looks of the Sedan. Plus its wider than the coupe...

Bottom line... having our first born this year, perfect combo, M3 sedan & Recaro Baby seat!! FTW....
