Question Why did you buy the Sedan, M3?

Oct 18th, 2008 I received my first M car, The E90 M3 Sedan!
Everyday I drive it, I get more and more in love w/t it.

Yes I have 4 doors, but I never use it! Nor do I use the back seats. It's usually just me and a friend croozing.. but that's it.

So you ask why did I get the E90? well because I like the way It looks, and feels. I didn't feel like I was drawing attention to the wrong crowd.
I like the E92 but the E90 has more of a menacing look to it.. When test driving the car there was something about the E90 that felt different maybe b/c of the shorter wheel base, but it felt like suspension was stiffer then the E92..Which yes, I know it isn't but... still something about coupes that I don't like. I drive my brother M6 and I just don't feel right, It just not me.. too flashy (I had the same feeling w/t the E92 M3 Coupe when I test drove it..

So I'm just curious E90 owners why did you buy the sedans?

i came from a E-36 coupe with S-54 engine. I loved the coupe 2 death just got tiring of taking passengers open the let the seat move forward. The E-90 M3 has all the same features as the coupe minus the CF roof and IMHO the E-90 looks better from the rear more menacing. I get to have 2 M cars now, closing the deal on a 2003 carbon black E-46.

I thought it looked better than the Coupe. I thought it was a better car to go to the golf course too ahah, but apparently they both have the same size boot.

Just have always preferred a sedan. Had a 330i, and previous to that an A4. Sedan just fits... have always loved a sporty looking sedan.

Part of an Absurd Rationalization Process

The increased potential day to day usability of a 4 door, the smoother transmission, and potential future costly gremlins waiting to show up in my '02 SMG equipped M3 helped me to convince myself that I should spend the cost of 3 pretty well equipped Civics on a new M3.

I like the looks better than the coupe plus, my 100 lb Akita would have a hell of a time getting in the back seat and lying down with the hump in the middle.

1, I like the sedan's look better, although after I ordered it I started falling in love with the coupe too.
2, My wife was pregnant so a GT-R was ruled out (thank God)
3, Sedan is a bit cheaper.
4, Easier to get my late 70's parents in the car.
5, So I wouldn't regret passing on the CF roof for a sunroof.
6, Total sleeper car!

We have a family car, but I still had to get the sedan for the occasional family outing.

Also prefer the look of the sedan.

Wife and I planning on having kids soon, so the sedan was just a better fit for us.

ahah then she would be in the front technically. I just got back from a drive w/t the M and it feels a bit statuary. Like I need an oil change or something hmm.. the iDrive says 6K left.

i like the look of the sedan way better than the coupe and didnt buy the last model of the m3 because it didnt come in a 4door and opted for the 330i zhp edition instead which i wish i still had. great car also.

I like the practicality of a the four doors with negligible performance penalty.... and I do agree that the rear of the e90 m3 is straight up menacing.
