Review: Bastuck Exhaust
Bastuck has released a new version of the single muffler design that was first released for the M3. They now have seperate mufflers and have redesigned the tips.
I was looking for an exhaust that was not to loud and also one that had no drone. I looked at a lot of exhausts and talking with Julius at wheelsto he recommended I try the new Bastuck. Not knowing what I was getting into I told him I would try it out. I have been very happy with it. This exhaust is a little louder then stock and has a very nice tone. The fit and finish was very good. Inside the car the cabin noise is a little louder then stock and I have not noticed any real drone. This was a big selling point for me as I have been trying to find a system that would be a little more aggressive then stock but also one that would not introduce drone. The mufflers were a straight bolt up to the stock mid section and everything fit up just right. For more information contact Julius @ WheelSTO. Sounds pretty good! Wonder how it would be with an X-pipe to bring out that sound more.
The new tips look great

you should make more video clips... right now the exhaust sounds like stock. there's no bass to it. but the tips do look real nice though.

It does have a nice deep tone to it at idle and lower RPM's and it does sound close to the stock exhaust but that is one thing I really like about it because I am a fan of the stock exhaust tone.

Why does it look like there is a section of the connecting pipes that is flattened out? That is weird.

Sweet looking exhaust! Sounds a little more mild than expected, but in person I'm sure it sounds much better.
I love the underneath shot, it really shows off the molded diffuser. Great work!

A little to mild sounding for my tastes but I do like the tips a lot.

the tips are 85mm double walled tips, which means no yellowing.

It sounds pretty similar to the single can one I have, but I think mine is deeper down low. Mine starts to mellow out about 4500 RPM to close to stock levels.
It's definitely louder than stock but not a "look at me loud." It's about how the stock exhaust probably should have sounded.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
