I'll be there both Friday and Saturday, although I'll only have my M3 on Friday. Hopefully it doesn't rain. The drive to LRP is fantastic in good weather. It's a long slog in the rain.

You'll get wet....but they will still race assuming its not a torrential downpour

any tips on how to make the best of the potential rainy day event? this will be my first race track event.. do i just bring a huge umbrella or wear a poncho? is there any place to watch the event that has a cover to prevent getting soaked?

Not really anywhere to hide, it's a pretty open track. The tower in the paddocks, (which may be closed to us), the food stand has a roof, and the BMW tent. Otherwise, rain jacket or poncho with hood.

The tower will be closed to the public, I would bring a big umbrella and a poncho.

Check out their website- it seems they have special parking for nicer cars, plus the BMW hospitality event gets the infield parking so I would think you'll be ok. I'm bringing mine.

Weather is looking up by the way...

There are brand corals (BMW, Corvette, Porsche) and regular parking in the infield. Any rain (as what's scheduled for tonight) and you're looking at wet grass or mud. Just make sure you can get out from wherever you decide to park. I'll be there tomorrow too.
