DD for me as well. I bought my car to drive and enjoy. It doesn't help that I'm stationed in Germany and can top the speedo almost anytime I feel like. I take the car all over the Europe, so far - Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria.

I've taken one raod trip to Southern California and back and numerous other short trips. I drive the car daiily and attend as many track day events as I can. What is the point of having the car if you don't use it. I think I'll go for a drive right now.

Just got back from a 9,700 mile trip; the car performed beautifully, and no issues except for a cracked windshield, and added a quart of oil.

do you guys go on road trips or mostly keep em in the garage as a toy?
The only issue I've experienced on long trips is with the exhaust drone from an aggressive exhaust. While I love the Meisterschaft exhaust on my M and have no regrets, the drone can get old on long trips. Even more so for passengers who don't appreciate modded performance cars. Other than that, drive the heck out of it!

Full Garage Queen in here..... My 335 had only 4500 miles on it when I sold it.

M has 400 miles on the clock but we are taking her for a 800 mile road trip to complete break in...... After that I am thinking 1K per year for mileage. She is a sunny day car and we don't have too many sunny days in Seattle.....

Just took a golf trip out to Michigan from NJ for a few days. It was about 1300 miles(round trip) to a friend's house and he drove the rest of the way. Surprisingly, it was very comfortable. Passing tractor trailers was a breeze. Watching out for cops was a pain even with the V1. I saw someone get nailed in PA. He was 2 cars ahead of me, got a little warning in K band. I just happened to be going slowly at that moment. It could easily have been me getting busted. I don't think the V1 would have helped. I'm wondering if it's worth having at all.

I packed a bottle of the motor oil just in case. It was at max when I left, but on the way back it got down to the middle. I didn't need to add oil, but I'm glad I packed it. I had 3 friends "test drive" the car. They really enjoyed the experience.

Golf-wise, hit 3 of the best courses in Michigan. Arcadia Bluffs, Eagle Eye, and Tullymore. It was amazing.

I drive mine every chance I get, future road trip to Albuquerque in about a month from now, estimated miles 2200. It's a ultimate driving machine, not a ultimate garage machine...

I just did multiple trips from Detroit to D.C. and back, and just completed another from Detroit to Boston, and am going home for Labor Day & will be back in Boston next week.

I think its a great road tripping vehicle!

Dang haha I was gonna do the same in about 3 weeks!
made tons of driving trips to AA from NJ during college, drove every year for a game since graduation.
Will be driving the M3 for the first time to AA, hopefully I see a good 19+mpg on highway!
I'll def check out those golf courses!

I would, honestly I really would. My E36 drives smooth, rides nice, is pretty roomy for a 15 year old coupe, and is just a pleasure to be in and to drive around. Unfortunately, it has no A/C, no heater, no radio, and none of the windows work so they're perpetually stuck halfway (sucks when it rains, believe you me). The previous owners just plain out abused her So for long trips and as a DD, no. But I DO try and drive her as often as I possibly can! She makes my day every time I get inside...
