as all of you know I did 6000 miles in my first week going from milwaukee to colrado then to NYC and back. personally thats nothing for me, I have high miles on my ducati's and bmw superbike, plan to go to cali in the m3 next week dropping another 6000 miles.
do you guys go on road trips or mostly keep em in the garage as a toy? |

Mine is def no garage queen.
It sees all 4 seasons, track duty, daily driven, and been on many long trips. Does it all!!!

what's the point of keeping it in the garage? It's not an investment. If i had an E36 M3 and it only has 30k miles on it today, it doesn't mean jack to anyone. It's not like I can sell it for $20k or something, and even if you do find a collector for it, you still lost money. Might as well have fun with it, it's a car, use it for what it's built for.

Yup, I am not a fan of the weekend cars. I've been driving on long trips from 200 miles to 800 miles and I am planning to go from NY to TN this Oct. .

I use mine mostly on 800-mile long trips. Other than the ridiculous range and soft-as-a-baby-ass windshield, no complaints . Well, paint behind the tires looks like crap now, so this car should have had built-in 'mud guards'.

Sure, Norcal to Socal and back, trips here, trips there. It's comfortable when you need it to be and fun when you need it to be. Holds a decent amount of luggage. Aside from frequent fuel stops no real downsides to using it on trips...

I'm going to drive mine pretty good when I pick it up upon arrival out of the sand box...
The only time I don't plan on driving it is when I am bringing my dogs somewhere, I'll use my other car for that. I love the dogs, but they aren't drooling all over my leather seats!

Unfortunately I have a 90 pound Irish Setter and a 60 pound English Setter, lol... The English isn't too bad, but the Irish Setter drools like it's his job, haha. I think it's because of his thick coat he is always hot unless it is winter time

In comfort mode, the M3 (ZCP) is is more comfortable than my 335i on long trips. The seats are fantastic for support. In fact, the M3 is more comfortable over "known" bumps and dips in the road than my 335i. I was very surprised how much better the M3 performed with absorbing the dip or suppressing the bump in the cabin.
M3 performs better at the track as well. It makes you appreciate just how fantastic the M3's suspension performs in all situations. Best all-round car available IMO. Range isn't that bad, I'm getting 22-23mpg @ 80-85mph ~340 miles.
