2009 E90 M3 order Vehicle Inquiry Report w/ '09 changes not on '08 VIR

Thought people might be interested in this. I received the VIR for my confirmed status 111 2009 E90 DCT M3 order today from my CA.

The most notable changes from the VIR for my previous '08 order are:

615 Online Information Services - I assume this is the new iDrive changes that include either the new Google Maps address sending function, the more comprehensive "online programming" of your car that was revealed in the recent patent filing, or both.

507 Park Distance Control - still states "rear only". This doesn't surprise me since the E90 M3 uses the E92 M3 front bumper, but I was curious if the E90 M3 would get front PDC for '09 since the recently released BMWUSA doc stating the '09 changes for the regular E90 3 series says it's getting front PDC.

563 Ambient light package - My '08 VIR didn't have this, but I'm not sure it's really a new feature/option. I think it's a standard feature that was on '08s as well and just wasn't listed on the VIR.

8S4 Variable Light Decoding - NO CLUE what this is!!! Maybe it's a new feature for '09 or maybe it's something that was on '08s and just wasn't listed on the VIR?

Cool! Thanks for posting. Did I read a line that said DVD area coding for North America? If so, that may hint that the new hard drive navigation may not be be in the 09.

Nope, unfortunately not. I'll post whatever I hear. My CA seems to be pretty good about getting info to me once he hears it officially from BMWUSA.

Cool, I figured it was. I just wasn't positive as my 08 VIR printout was from when my order was status "037 - spec not released", so I didn't have many of the standard features that appear as "included" options on all M3 orders.
