M3 Performance exhaust arrived today
After a long journey - from USA to Australia - the M Performance is finally at home. It cost as much as an Akra in Australia - including the exhaust, freight and custom duty and taxes - but I am really happy with the product. The finish and the quality is unreal. The weight - you can easily carry it around. I will post install pics as soon as I have them put on. Enjoy the pics.

Check on that customs duty tax. When I ordered some wheels for my 05 GTO, they were from Victoria. They came DHL and they charged me a custom duty tax, but the US and Australia have a trade agreement concerning auto parts. The lady from DHL said to fax her the invoice and she would have the duty tax removed. May save some bucks, check it out.

Oh I forgot, Congrats on the exhaust. I really would like to have something that looks better and gives a better exhaust note. I'm sure it will be worth every penny. Lots of pennies! If only I could justify the cost.

A $5 flat black spray can would do wonders on how it looks installed . Much easier to paint it before installation (plus tips are already wrapped ). And yes, rough it up with 400-grit sand paper and clean it first. Enjoy it.

By the way, I must thank Evan at Tisher making it happen. Great customer service and all the queries were answered promptly and politely by Evan, Jason and his team. I hoping to get them installed today. Can't wait. I know I will not be disappointed with the exhaust note. Afterall, it's nothing like putting an oem product on your car. It gives you a peace of mind I must thank you guys for posting teasing sound clips to convince me.

Less than 24 hours after DHL dropped the exhaust off, it is on the car now.
Initial impression driving home following the install - very exotic and deep exhaust note only an oem can produce due to the available resources and expertise through various development stages. The rasp most of the members have commented on is not noticeable whatsover, and as I said before a very deep note. Don't know whether this deep note will give way to the rasp as the material in the exhaust bed-in. Also the acceleration feels liberated may be due to some reduced back pressure. All-in-all, it's worth the money and couldn't be happier. Took just 45 minutes to install at the local BMW shop. I was not willing to pay the dealer-stealer Auto Classic top dollar for a simple job. If I had gone through the dealer route I would have been waiting for a couple of weeks to install. Car is dirty and hasn't been cleaned for months now. No sound slip yet but some post install pics. One thing for sure no sound clip will do justice by this exhaust. You have to hear it in person to be convinced and enthralled by the note. Also the best part is that it isn't boomy in fifth when you're cruising like to stock exhaust. That has been totally cured. Weight wise - you can easily lift the exhaust and the connecting pipe, whereas the stock on requires two people to carry. Fits like a glove and top notch craftsmanship. Nice. If you ask me it is the most exotic sounding exhaust available. Definitely not the loudest, which I think is good. Way better than any aftermarket I've heard yet

I don't know how to describe this exhaust. Driving to work this morning, I switched off the stereo and just enjoyed the exhaust note all the way in. Blip-ping the throttle becomes addictive as the deep exhaust note ala Ferrari/Mercedes C63 is music to the ears. If I had heard this exhaust in person I would have forked out the money I paid for this regardless. Hats off to BMW for putting some top notch aftermarket exhausts to shame.
As J08M3 pointed out, it's not overly loud but loud enough to turn heads and make the cars presence felt.
