UNfortunately, 08 models are not capable of playing DVDs.

TVinMOTION modules are for the new CiC released in 2009+ models.

Are you getting closer to having the '08 unit that functions like '09? Or has this project been scrapped as it can't be done?

08 project is still underway, we'll be positing in a separate thread (as well as our journal) when closer to completion.

Euro models do have the option of the TV tuner from BMW.

This is not an input module, this will only override the interlock on MY09+ iDrive systems - which already have DVD playback capabilities.

Nothing yet, we're still working on the 08 system.

Just installed another kit today here in-house. These are a must on any MY09 iDrive car.

Drive safely.

Anyone in the South Florida area install this mod or know how to? I would like to order it but don't want to mess with the electronics.

This is entirely different as MY08 doesn't have a video playback capabilities in the first place.

As of now, only MY09+ is compatible.

Any experienced audio installer should have no problem installing the module for you. Should take no longer than an hour.

I'd like to think that was so but when I tried to have a Windows roll up mod installed in my G35, no one knew how to do anything at 3 different shops. Had a fellow G35 driver install it in 15 minutes. You don't know anyone in South Florida who might be able to help me?

I can't recommend anyone I've worked with in person in your area, a local BMW independent would be a suitable alternative.

It's on the to-do list. However, the correct method is hardly invasive at all.
