Fox Red Extended

My dealer accidentally ordered fox red extended. ive seen pictures on the various threads and im wondering if you all think as i do that fox extended is just too darn much red? has anyone seen this in person or ordered a car with fox red extended?

I didnt order the extended, but i think the FR extended looks the best out of the all the colors. It has great contrast.

If you're getting a deal on it, I'd say it's fine. I would not pay full price for it. I guess one thing that bothers me is the black cup holder rectangle cut out of the passenger side. My plan is to get just the FR console, creating a semi-extended look.

I think FR extended is way too much red. There's no contrast at all, whereas the regular FR has beautiful contrast against all the black parts.

Yes, but the OP did not order a black car. I bet it will look much different on a lighter external color.

Go to your dealer and look at other models extended. From sitting in the seats, you do not see as much on the dash as most pictures from low angles show. The cup holders are kinda annoying. The biggest difference is going to be around the center console. Either you like or don't. It is a lot of red, but looks finished to me. I really like FR though.

thanks guys. appreciate it. the exterior is space gray which im not worried about...just the "box" around the climate control area mainly. the dealer is not charging me for it, but that's not the issue for me.

Has a cleaner look flowing the FR into the dash from the doors as opposed to just stopping all of a suden at the dash junction. E46 doors didnt go all the way with the inserts and extended wasnt an option so it didn't matter, but with the abrupt change in color at the dash door junction, extended is the better look. Cup holder change and driver's side stogare box does make it look a little busy, but still better with extended. IMO Oh and it is on the house. Also, did yo get the upraged sound? The contrast with the tim color of the speake grill with the FR all around is very nice and will pull the eyes away from the black cup holders.

didnt get the upgraded sound, but agree that the upgraded speakers look better. wish my dealer had sample leather swatches but they dont. also, wonder how the space gray door sill would look against the fox red. is a lighter color than black such as gray going to go as well with fox red as the jerez pictures do?

IMO, Space, Silverstone and White will all look great with Fox. I love the cool neutrals with spicy warm interiors.

My current order is regular FR. But that picture above has me nearly convinced to switch over. The cup holders do bother me too but now I'm thinking it's not as much red as I thought before. Or rather it's not too much.

extended fox red looks better than non extended if you are buying a 70,000 car get extended leather dont cheapout and get vinyl plus if your going to get red get red

I LOVE FR extended... but I don't think it is worth it. If you got it for free, I would be quite happy.
