Gee you get some strange opinions on this site....

To Rolf-Dieter, miss treat? Haven't you done this?

I have, had the best day ever at a recent track day. About an hour sliding all over the show (all the 911s parked up!) had the track literally to myself. M Dynamic mode on the lock stops. Freakin brilliant. Corner after corner. Used 1/2 a tank of gas, next to no tyre wear and no brake pad issues. (compare that to a dry track day!)

To those who haven't done even a little drift - go straight to an empty parking lot on a wet day! Nearly zero strain on the car compared to anything in the dry.

Re the show - Brits do the best car shows by a mile

Re the GTS - why snivle about it? - it's great!
Cheers

Sounds like you should learn to drive yours.

Someone doesn't get sarcasm

FYI I do drive mine hard and can most likely keep up with you

Sick video but is the GTS really worth that much more? I would think some coilover and rollcage, sway bars and lastly a s/c would still run cheaper than the extra cost of GTS, am I wrong?

It's £118,000 in the UK, which equates to around $195,000 USD

http://www.porsche.com/uk/models/911/911-gt3/

i would take a gt3 over a gts any day of the year, but they certainly did style the car properly

to the person above who asked, those are recaro profi spg (they come in spg (medium) and xl (for taller/larger people))

I really enjoy her reviews. I feel like I'm right there with her at every punch of the accelerator.

She should work for BMW marketing. The look on her face makes the GTS price seem perfectly reasonable!

Like all women drivers, they make my nervous when they can't keep both hands on the steering wheel, or other things for that matter...

4 pages later of the same comments and let alone people still find this funny and post it. The age of posters here must be under 21 by far. I thought the first comment was true and funny that she jizzed her pants. But after that and 20 similar posts later you are like school boys laughing every time you here the word penis or vagina.

Also its not that the car is worth X amount of money for how it performs, its for the rare number built. Doesn't anyone watch car auctions etc? Plenty of shitty ass performing cars go for 500K plus because they are rare and often not even as rare as the GTS so its really a great bargain if you ask me and had the money for a collectors car brand new off the shelf.

And how is this a heavy car? It weighs in at 3200 pounds or so. By no means is that a heavy car. Ferrari's, porshce etc are all not even that low except for the top end models

Your first comment...

That is an acceptable reason. Its going to be a special car, but unfortunately the e9x m3 has not been cherished by the racing world compared to the e30 m3, therefore, this GTS will be a collector car, but I never thought M would be in the business of collector cars. I thought it was all about performance. For the price, this car gets stomped on by its main, and cheaper rival, gt3 and gt3 rs.

That is definitely light, but the 997 gt3 weighs in at 3,075 lbs and the gt3 rs weighs in at 3,031lbs. They are better cars. We all know about Ferrari and their "#s" so lets keep them out of the argument. Both those cars are 200lbs lighter than the GTS, cheaper, and better around the track. And in 20 years time, I would rather have a GT3 RS, heck even a GT3, in my garage than a GTS, but thats just me.

And regarding people on this board, the new type of BMW owner cares more about straight line speed and hp #s, than the driving experience.
