What were the prices on autotrader.ca??
How many KMs? Any accidents?
I paid a little more then that for my 2008 E90 M3 about a year ago though, mine is fully loaded except DCT.

super clean, no accidents, coupe, 19K Kms, 2K worth of 3M wrap.... for $57,750 all in.

seems to beat everything on the autotrader by quite a bit but we all know those prices too are really inflated so it's tough to know. I think I got a great deal but would appreciate other's thoughts here.

I am in AB and I think that is a pretty good price for that car. Take a look on autotrader...there isnt a lot in that range.

Yeah, I saw that too. This dealer just took the car in on trade for a 2011 M3 this week and my buddy that works there called me about it. It's Melbourne Red with the CF roof and there isn't a single scratch or spec wrong with this car. It was traded in for 50K (plus the guy got his gst credit towards the 2011 M3) and I offered 54 which they surprisingly accepted because apparently they've been having a slow month. They didn't even have a chance to advertize it because I snapped it up and put a deposit on it knowing there was some inside buzz about this car with the staff there already. They were going to ask $66,900. I grabbed it for the 54 but not CPO because that would add a couple of grand and the car still has 2 years left anyways. I finalize things tomorrow.

If you got that good of a deal (and I think you did) I'd pay the extra $2k and have the dealer CPO the car.

You'd be $56 k in to it and have 6 yr/160 kms. Check the in service date to see when the warranty is up. If it was originally an early '08 purchase your warranty could be up in 18 months or less, if you plan to keep the car beyond that, consider the CPO option - it will seem like the best $2k you ever spent

I think you did quite well regardless - congrats

where are our pics btw ?

It's just a pleasure car (not a dd) so I saw little point in the extra warranty at this time and I've always understood CPO is not that great. It's better to buy third party extended warranty just before original warranty expires and is about the same cost but coverage is better.

On the contrary, I've almost never read any good feedback on third party warranty. Where as I've read plenty good things about CPO.

No. CPO doesn't cover to the extent of GMAC "ultimate" plan which is also $1200 cheaper ($3400 for CPO vs $2200 GMAC) and longer coverage (2 years CPO vs 3 years GMAC Ultimate). I went with this top of the line "ultimate" plan for the extra 3 years for 2K more. I believe it's a sweet deal for just under 60K all in for a loaded, super clean coupe and warrantied until 4/2015.

I pick up the car on Wednesday night. I'll post pics later in the week.

Cheers!

Thanks. I was concerned at first about the "look at me" color but it is truely a beautiful car in this color and especially with the black carbon roof.

$54K for a low KMs M3 is a steal. Congrats!

I saw an exactly similar Melbourne Red M3 in the Crowfoot NW a few months ago just outside the Edo Japanese restaurant while walking out of the KFC.

I walked around it to see it up, close and personal. I wonder if it was the same one.
