[QUOTE=Epacy;972462]$54-55k is what was initally been rumored for some time now.[/QUOTE

I believe most thought closer to $60k...I'd love to see $54-57 but I'm sure I'll be paying closer to $70K after options.

Car mags have quoted their sources as saying around $54-55K. That is a $5K increase over the E46 M3 base price. The E46 base price was $5K above the E36 base price, and the increase in power-to-weight, technology, etc is similar, so I'd guess $54-55K is right.

Yes. If I can get OTD for $70k or under, then I will be pleased.

$5k increase over the E46 M3 price only covers the 3%-4% annual markup BMWs tend to get (2006-2008: 2 model years). We'll see if BMW thinks people will be interested in paying more than the regular annual increase for the V8.

I wouldn't call it a perk when there are bullet in the ass "perks" as well. It's
the least they can do for those serving.

Add shipping and gas guzzler $53,050

Just reviewed my contract and noticed that in addition to the military MSRP which seems to run about 9% under U.S. MSRP that there is an additional $2,150 for shipping and estimated $1000 for gas guzzler tax so now we are to $49900 (est) plus $2,150 plus $1,000 for "military". so $53050 total before options. Still haven't figured import tax.
Last time when the car arrrived BMWNA asked me to send a copy of my passport before it could clear customs.
Some people in Europe are on PCS orders and have the car delivered to Europe and then the military pays for shipping home when they transfer to their new permanent duty assignment.

One of the worst comparisons I have seen. That calculation in no way relates. There are much better estimates around here. Such as the 9% difference between military sales and NA MSRP.

this seems like a sweet deal and is seriously makin me considering the wait. what do you guys think?

remember this is military special.

:rocks:
I was quoted the same price from Pentagon Car Sales, and I was face to face with the guy in the dealership. However he did say that the final price may be move however they are taking 10% deposits based on the $49,900 price.

Wink I am in Germany its true

Pentagon car sales is a Class act They are BMWs Largest Military car sales organization
They actual loaned me a car from Saturday after they closed till Monday Morning, Yes I love the Pricing,George Lott has been great in Kaiserslautern/Ramstein (their largest branch)george.lott@pentagoncarsales.com

I ordered an E93 Space Grey, Saddle Leather ZSP ZCP Met, CA and the Final price I payed was $47K that includes shipping to one of 7 US Ports when I want, It will be built tomorrow 5-21 and we will PU in 10 days with Custom regs, its a US spec car.

I have a deposit for M3s and expect March/ April deliveries, one will be taken stateside. I also order and expect the M3 Sedan by September 08 I was quoted the $49,900 Price, but subject to change. they were actually right on with the 335 convertable, biggest factor is the Value of the Euro being so high against the dollar. I expect them to come in close to the $50K price maybe $52 at the most plus options

If you are a contractor or even DOD on TDY for a few weeks you can order at these prices. They were Low on 335 coupe and Vert Allocations for 07 models when I talked to them this last Thursday. You have to pay to play so if you are even TDY with Military ID, you're eligable. I will sell mine and upgrade often,

The Swiss/Germans are a bit Jealous if they know because at the current exchange rate they are paying double but we are, but hey they are a Neutral country who makes money on everyone else

Cheers

The direct pricing seems to have a 5-8% projected increase though I am not sure how they are coming up with these numbers. Hopefully anyone who uses this option will have a car sooner than waiting on a list at a dealer, though who knows how the build dates are assigned? Who also knows if we could get a delivery date this fall instead of the spring with other US cars? The only thing known for sure is the final price will be below MSRP. Also, I thought the options were discounted as well. Here is her email and the Internet address for Superior. For any member who is deployed / deploying, stay safe and feel free to contact me for questions. I will certainly fill you in on my experience!

P.S. Ignore the jackass flamebait post.

+1 Def go with Angela Verde. She helped me get my 335 last year while I was deployed and the base price was 36K not 37,050. You still pay a 2050 dellivery fee and taxes here in the states but still a good deal.

If I get deployed again next year I may just get rid of my 335 and get an M3 =)

Exclamation M3 Prices - straight from Germany - June 2007!!

Here are the official prices from BMW Germany (as of June 2007) for the 2008 M3 - Please keep in mind that this price is the German price (not US cost) but will give all of us some reference. Enjoy.

Fahrzeugpreise (Prices are shown in EUROS!!!

Das M3 Coupé ist serienmäßig mit einem 6-Gang-Schaltgetriebe ausgestattet.
(Says - comes standard with a speed manual)

EUR* 56.008 ohne MwSt. (w/o 19% luxury tax)

EUR* 66.650 inkl. 19% MwSt. (with 19% luxury tax)

More tomorrow.
I suggest we compare the German price of a 335i (fully loaded) to the base price of the M3.

Hope this helps.

BMW335ifan (maybe new M3 fan) have not bought the car yet - waiting until next year

So the base price is about exactly what I paid for my 330i out the door. The difference is that mine is optioned out and that is the base price. Shoot. My next car will have to be the M3.

Was at the dealership a few days ago and asked my CA about pricing of the M3. He said that he would be suprised if it started below 65K.
