New M3s to be featured on Tommy Kendall's show. (With photos.)

Visited the Performance Driving Center in Spartanburg last week to pick up my new car. These were sitting amongst the fleet.

Apparently, they were filming an episode of Test Drive with Tommy Kendall. Obviously Boris Said was with him, but which Andretti and which Rahal, I'm not sure. Donnie told me (yeah, Donnie Freakin Isley!) but I was geekin' out.

^^^Yup! Rahal of Rahal/Letterman. I cannot wait until 2009!

UPDATE: The show airs March 25th 1am on SpeedTV and it was filmed in HD.

i know i've said it before, but that license plate holder is seriously fugly.

i'd rather take the chance on getting ticketed than ruining the looks of my m3.

Any mention of when the show will air? I checked on SPEED's website(which sucks ass) and couldn't find anything. It's all NASCAR, PINKS, and Barrett-Jackson

Tommy's show is weekend mornings. There is a Tommy Kendall fan site (fansite...WTF?) and that might have some info. They said it'll be airing in the next few weeks. Sorry that's all I could get out of them.

I have some video of me revving the engine. I joking asked Donnie Isely for the keys and turns to me and says "Yeah, if we still have 'em no problem." I nearly cried... I didn't get to drive it, they parked an M6 in front of me to make sure of that. Once I get around to pulling it off the camera I'll post it in the video section and link it here.

Finally got the video pulled. It's only 30 seconds, and the car is stationary, but I think its pretty cool.

supposed to air Tuesday, March 25th at 8 PM on SPEED CHANNEL. Check listings when time gets closer. I knew those guys were flying in that Sunday to tape the show Monday, I am surprised they had the cars sitting out like that. Sould be a way cool show! Yikes, I am sounding like my 16 year old!

I am an M3 fan but am finding it difficult to get really excited about this show. I will probably watch as there will be some good track footage of an M3 sliding around. The problem is that every TK show is the same, a huge puff piece for the manufacturer with no criticism or proper evaluation allowed.

Each show starts out with 2 similar cars and TK and some visiting hot shoe giving inane banter and the corporate PR line on the car. They then get in the cars and drive a closed course really fast with the following dialogue

TK: Man this Fudge GTZ is really fast.
Hot shoe: Sure is.

Hot Shoe: the GTZ really takes the corners well.
TK: Sure does.

Repeat ad nauseum.

I would expect to learn nothing new about the car and not to hear a balanced evaluation of it.

I gave up watching TK a long time ago but will probably tune in for this just to watch the hot pictures and listen to the sound track of that V8. Sort of like Auto Porn.

Totally agree, its the show to watch if you only want to fill out the PRO part of the PRO vs. CON chart.

I'm going to be watching for Graham Rahal, Boris Said, and the guy with the Andretti DNA (I can never keep them straight). It is totally going to be car-porn.
