What kind of gains are to be had from a fully catless setup plus intake without a tune, to the same setup with a tune? Would you advise pulleys as well?

A full catless setup such as RPI's GTM race exhaust system utilized in conjunction with RPI's Ram Air Induction Kit would yield approximately 40hp. Couple this with a tune such as Evolve and you should see at least 55hp gains when compared to stock.

Pulleys are a relatively cost effective mod that will yield another 8-10hp or so. I would suggest RE or AA.

So only 15hp? I would think evolve would be able to give me a more aggressive tune because I would be cat less, thus giving more gains than on an otherwise stock car. Or am I wrong?

The gains Evolve quote are on the conservative side, they don't like to provide glory figures but you should expect 15hp minimum additional gains with the Evolve tune.

evolve-R remote cable - now reading and clearing DTC's

This function is exclusive to the evolve-R! So we can now tune remotely, tune the latest protected software and read/remove any fault codes.

We believe it adds more value to the product, but importantly it's an ABSOLUTELY FREE upgrade to all of our existing customers and is the standard version new customers receive.

Please see two screenshots below:

We have been asked before why we decided to go with a laptop based solution rather than handheld, well this would be a good example on how we can easily upgrade core functionality and distribute for free to our customers.

We hope this goes some way to illustrate the continued dedication to our M3 customers.

Our next project is a full datalogging suite - which will also be a completely free upgrade

The tool, the tune, and everyone at Evolve is awesome! Can't say enough.

Ordered it on the Monday, late, shipped Tuesday, and I had my mitts on it Thursday! Took me a day to find time to read my file with the software and -R cable. What a breeze! The read took all of about 3 minutes, and I immediately emailed it off to Paul and Sal with a list of my personal mods, and ALL my tune requests (SES, cold-start, increased red-line, etc). Sal had emailed me a new file within just hours of getting into work in the UK the next morning. AMAZING turnaround! File loading took about 2 minutes!

Throttle response is greatly improved. Car runs SUPER smooth. Additional power/torque is absolutely noticeable. The overall smoothness is noticed mostly when riding around town. Open it up, and it pulls significately harder right over 5000rpm, all the way to redline! It's awesome.

I love the car so much more than I did before. I'm very happy with my purchase. Paul and Sal are a pleasure to work with. I (LOVED) the quick response on every question I had both before, and after purchase.

Thanks guys!

Things I asked for -

RAISE: Rev/RPM limit (8600)
REMOVE: CEL/SES light (catless)
REMOVE: Top speed governor
REMOVE: Cold-start cycle
MODIFY: to include the following factors –
1. X-PIPE – catless (Challenge Race)
2. EXHAUST – Rear-section (Meisterschaft GT)
3. PULLEY – Under-drive (Active Autowerke)
4. AIR FILTER – aftermarket (Macht Schnell)
5. FUEL – 91 octane (mostly 91, occasional 91/100 (=95) blend)

New update from Evolve

Due to requests we have decided to offer an affordable alternative to the 'plug-in throttle pedal' products out there.

The idea of the products is to plug-in a device under your throttle pedal that increases its sensitivity, even more so than the sport button.

We realise its not for everyone, but for those that require it we have made it available when ordering on our site. We call it: Instant-Throttle.

When selecting we supply a SECOND map to you, a duplicate of your tune but with a Sport+ throttle sensitivity.

This allows you to select between maps if you feel one is better suited to your driving style - rather than the normal cost of $150 for a second tune to be created.

PLUS

After our extensive testing we have officially launched our Catless 02 Ready tune.

Though our 'Stage 2' tune has been available for several years with a large proportion of our customers running this, we have recently revisited the tune at our customers request to have a very specific feature - to remove the dashboard CEL whilst ALSO retaining the 02 sensor 'readiness'.

We have now successfully implemented this feature, so all new Stage 2 Catless tunes (just headers or completely catless) will automatically receive this new feature set.

Correct! The Evolve software is only compatible with Windows. Latest version of 7 with service packs, updates, etc. is highly recommended.
