Yes this will throw a CEL without question. Notice on the front pipes there are no cats between the O2 sensor bungs?? The cats located on the X-pipe are to help with the smell and sound. You will need a tune to shut the light off. With that said I bet this exhaust sounds amazing

in all honestly if you're just going for power and some sound the primary cat delete is the best way to go.. aftermarket resonators and secondaries are purely for sound and don't give ANY power gains.. all those dyne graphs out there are bull

There is a power difference of about 5-8whp between Primary delete with OEM secondary and Primary Delete + Secondary HFC. The OEM cats are very restrictive.

so i purchased this from CMM3 on (Dec 6, 2011) and it took him about 1.5 weeks to get a response. I kept asking him for a tracking number but he didnt respond until 12-14-2011 with a tracking number. it was delievered to me on 20th.

when i received it yesterday, and opened the package to inspect it with the shipping company behind me checking with me as well, the resonators were dinged up but other than that it looked fine...

Until I took it to my buddy's muffler shop to get it installed this morning...

This is where everything becomes interesting.

the flanges from the mufflers to the x-pipe are too small. the clamps wouldn't hold them together.

the hanger/holder where the OEM primary cats are held up rubs against the pipes.

the 02 sensors located further back are touching the frame of the car, giving significant pressure on them.

the shield that supports the X is basically touching significantly (extreme rattle)

so after trying to fit a "bolt-on" system on the car, my buddy said just take it off and send it back. he said if i leave it on the 02 sensors are going to get messed up and that i'm going to have problems with rattling etc. 02 sensors arent cheap.
I pmd the seller but from previous experiences with PM it seems like he doesnt like replying back so that is why i am posting this up. I have this ready to be shipped back to you after you come up with my refund.

it was definitely not a fabspeed system.
nothing fit.
the four holes where the x-pipe connects to the headers werent even big enough, he had to force the screws in which i was really hesitant about.

I'd file the claim w/Ppal. Tell them the seller is unresponsive. It may take a couple of weeks, but they should come through. GL -

He will have to pay return shipping charges, and if the seller gets it back and says it's not the same item, or similar to what he sent out....they pay not give the buyer his $ back

paypal is tricky

I've been there, done that a couple years ago as a buyer with PayPal...Unless their policy has changed within the last few years, PayPal can't do anything for him IF the seller has shipping/tracking info. This is what's going to happen if the buyer files a claim/dispute with PP:

1) Buyer files a claim
2) PP will tell buyer they can't do anything if seller already has provided them with shipping info
3) If seller hasn't already provided shipping info by this time then PP will ask the seller to do so
4) If seller doesn't provide this info within a timeframe (~7 days I think) then buyer gets refund
5) However, if seller provides shipping info within this timeframe then there's nothing else PP can do

Not trying to be an a$$ but PP is just the middleman for the transaction of the funds & that's it. They're not a retailer like Walmart, Target, Amazon or even eBay where they guarantee you don't get defective merchandise. They just guarantee you get your merchandise & that's it. Hopefully the seller comes through.

Looking at the original post by the seller & it specificually says, "Custom HFC X-pipe with Fabspeed 02 Extenders" & to me that means this isn't a Fabspeed HFC. It's just a custom HFC X-pipe WITH Fabspeed (branded) 02 extenders but I can see why/how potential buyers can think it's a Fabspeed branded HFC.

As in, the seller has agreed to refund you the money? If so then that's good to hear!

That's good to hear! Yeah, hopefully he comes through! BTW, you should ask him who makes this HFC so others can avoid fitment issues also.
