Pebble Beach, PCH run pics

Took a 3 day trip up to Monterey. I visited Pebble Beach, Carmel, Big Sur, etc. I was planning on taking a lot of pics today, but it was raining too hard. On the bright side, I had all of PCH to myself from Carmel all the way to San Simeon. 70 miles of beautiful roads and barely any other cars. So that part was fun.

nice photos and car.

Did you shoot with a tripod? I'm just getting into photography with my Nikon D7000. Can you share the settings used on the various shots?

No tripod (though I want one, or at least a monopod).

If you save the images and view their properties you should be able to see the EXIF data that shows what settings were used.

I use Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS5. I generally import the images from the camera into Lightroom, adjust the white balance and exposure, and then send them into Photoshop for curves, saturation, contrast/brightness, resizing, and sharpening.

Nice shots, What's your opinion on the 17-40mm? I'm looking for a really tightly zoomed wide angle and was looking at that as well as the 16-35mm model but i'm thinking for the price of the 16-35mm i can get the 17-40 and a teleconverter for my telephoto lenses.
