Exclamation Will this be okay?

This may be a stupid question, but bear with me.

One of my tires became flat today so I ordered some AD08s since I'm expecting to do some more track days these up coming months. All tires are close to being shot so I ordered all 4 tires. The thing is I ordered them for some APEX ARC-8's that I plan on ordering soon 18x9.5 (265/35/18) and 18x10 (285/30/18).
Problems:
-They're backordered until 3/28.
-I only ordered 1 tire using expedited shipping to get here ASAP whereas the other 3 would get here late next week.

Would I be fine mounting the 285/30 onto the rear OEM 18 wheel for about 750 miles?

I won't do it, it will make me uncomfortable even though it's ok to do so.

Check closely the diameter of the new tire vs the existing worn tire. The new tire dimensions should be available on the internet. If your diameters are different, you will be slipping the clutches in the diff while driving straight. Obviously, not a problem SHORT TERM...

I wouldn't mount just one mis-match tire regardless of the width. You can get away with having mismatched tires on each "axle" but even that is less than ideal.

Thanks for all the responses, I just ordered the cheapest tire I could find to mount on both rear wheels until I'm able to get the new wheelset in.
