Dear God in Heaven please be the bearings....
....though it's too late for me.

If it's just 08's though, then it sounds LIKELY that they just made the idle control valve a full-blown recall rather than just a TSB item though.

And if it's not just 08's then DCT? Which is great for you guys.

I haven't heard anything for my '08 and don't see any recall notice in a quick search on the internet. Anyone else hear anything?

hmmmm, I have an 09 and the dealer just setup an appointment for "routine maintenance covered under your warranty at no charge to you" .. Did BMW start doing this recently or something? (they sent me an email)

Is my car's info being sent through BMW assist and did they detect something? I'm in between service intervals right now so I have no clue what this is about...I'm going in tomorrow to speak with them.

If there was a recall it'd be public by now. Could be a TSB (or SIB). Recalls are only issued on safety issues where lives are at risk. I haven't seen any issue on M3s that qualify as such. But yes, I'd like my idle valve replaced for sure .

This is not just for 08's, this is for all models as I have an 09. Had some issues with the flash, the Navi is significantly different and had some issues with RPM's and such. RPM's were in the range of 1500 at idle. It is fixed now, stealership claims they did nothing....little fishy, but ok.

HD radio is all funky now, fading in and out as it was when i took delivery of car back from ED.
