i agree just use what you like. But I am going to admit, 90% of my friends that have iPhones, are ignorant and cocky as f*ck with their device. I am sick that they truly believe that it is the "pussy on the pedestal" and nothing else touches their P.O.S. 3G device.

sadly, the same applies to a lot of BMW owners. Which means its the people, not the product they choose to buy. Most of my friends have iPhones but not a single one is what you describe, although I run into plenty when going out and meeting other people

My 3GS has been dropped one too many times and has been vibrating randomly for a few months now. It probably vibrates once every few minutes when it's in my pocket and oftentimes it goes apeshit and vibrates constantly for 30 seconds straight. The big problem comes when it switches from silent mode to loud when I'm in a meeting or some other place like that.

I was planning on upgrading to the next device to come out, now I'm pretty damn disappointed that it won't be a groundbreaking device like a 5 might have been.

I feel like I still should buy it, though, as it will be 100x better than my erratic 3GS.

I like the 4s, and will preorder, but then again I'm using a 3g piece of crap, so even the 4 was appealing. I already understand iOS, and I hve no desire to try to learn Android. Android phones and graphics look cheesy to me anyway. Just my opinion flame suit on.

I've made money by getting the new iPhone every year

IIRC, I've made about $300 over the past 4 years? (including the cost of the iPhones themselves)

I bought my 4 for $250, I can easily get $300 for it

buy the 4S at $250, I just pocketed $50.

How is that a waste of money? Receving $50 and getting a better phone sounds like a win win to me

It's not a waste of money if you have you've got a couple lines that you cycle to use the upgrade price every time you get a phone. This way, you pay the upgrade price when you get the phone and sell the old version to someone for what turns out to usually be equal to or more than what you originally paid.

That's what I used to do when I was getting the new iPhone every year. Seems like you've seen this work as well.

I've had a two 3G's, a 3GS, two iPhone 4's and I have an upgrade due in december. Per my prediction the 5 was not coming out this early, I saw this coming and don't plan on using my upgrade on a 4S... I plan on rocking my Blackberry Torch until the 5 comes out most likely even though I have two lines, the other upgrad isn't available until next christmas.

The 4s isn't even worth the thread that was started about it...

I used my personal line last year, and will use a different line for the 4S

By the time the 5 (or whatever it'll be called) comes out, I'll be eligible to use my personal line.

The only thing that's a pain is if I miss on the pre-order, I'll have to wait...I'm not waiting in line for the 4S the way I did for the 4.

I miss the old days when the iPhone was only in the US and limited countries

Guys in Saudi and Egypt paid top dollar for unlocked iPhones

My house phone with cord never drops calls. It's clearly better than all this bewlshyt. It also has some big baws ass buttons and glows in the dark so you can even dial at night.

I am going to get one probably. I have a droid x right now but I want to just try out the iphone at least once. It may not be the best, but basically all my friends except 3 of them have iphones so I want to see what the fuss is all about. At least I can say I tried both to see which one I like better personally.

I don't know...seems like a pretty competitive phone to me.

The only reason people are disappointed is they expect every iterative product update to be as revolutionary as the launch of a brand new product line.

The only real disappointments are...

not 4G
no bigger screen
no SD slot (I'm not holding my breath on that one )

Other than that, it looks similar or better than anything you can find on an Android phone.

at&t had a loop hole w/ the original iPhone that you could essentially get 5 iPhones and never start a contract w/ them. My buddies and I did that and sold them on ebay to guys all over the world, we made a killing!

and yea, no pre-order, fuck getting the iPhone, I dont believe in standing in line for hours. Never have, never will
