Decisions

This isn't a comparison thread or a what sounds better.... My question is Pretty much X-pipe + stock exhaust OR stock x-pipe + axel back. They seem to be both around the same price used or new. As for x-pipe does is there really a huge difference between HFC and Dual or Quad resonators?

Depends if you want power or sound.

Wouldn't a x-pipe even with the stock muffler still create a more aggressive sound?

Listen to this man he knows a thing or two. And when the day comes for an x pipe make sure its quad resonated and completely catless, you can thank me later!

Yes but only if it is dual resonated and the increase in sound will be in the form of rasp. You want a quad resonated x pipe which will give great gains without the rasp.

I went the x-pipe route before axle back, running AA x-pipe w/ HFC's paired to a stock exhaust. I have no rasp, thankfully, but I have a nice jump in sound. I wanted power before sound anyways.

I would do a rear section and Turner Test Pipes (if they ever get them back in stock!)

If you are price shopping, do the Megan exhaust + TTP. That's less than $1000.

I'm seriously leaning towards going a quad resonated x-pipe, so I feel like there will still be some drone?
