The Drivers Edge - MSR-H April 13/14
Anyone else going to the TDE this weekend at MSR-H?
My wife and I are going. I will be driving my 1M and she will be in her 135is. My buddy from work is also going in his e92 M3. |

The June event at MSR-Cresson is 92% full after the first full day of registration being open! Looking forward to it (first time with Drivers Edge, first time on track with the M3) - must be a good event if the demand is so high and it fills so quickly.

This is just my second HPDE (I am still in the green group), and his first. I did download Harry's Laptimer so that I could video my driving to try to work on being smoother, so I guess I will see my lap time that way.

See y'all out there!
Stop by and talk to the guy in the silver E46 M3 with the Momentum BMW stickers on it...I'll be around hanging around that area. That's where you'll find most of the forum people here. Thundermoose, txmotorhead, pizzapie, shadeD1, and a couple of others will be there. Yeah, gotta register quick! Especially if you are in blue. I personally really like the Driver's Edge. Great people and its the best ran DE in the state. The owner and staff are pretty cool to deal with and definitely uphold the standards.

Klepper,
Saw your 1M in green, you were moving along pretty well! I see you live life on the wild side and take that inside line over the launch...NICE! Not many greenies do that. Sorry I couldn't come over. I was busy running around all day.

My instructor suggested that line over the launch ("let's use the hill to help us brake!"), and it seemed to work, but it got a little hairy a few times! My instructor, Rick, was fantastic! I did some video with Harry's Lap Timer, and my best lap of the weekend was 1:54:39. I had such a fun weekend! |

That inside line, I think, is faster. But there is more risk of getting it wrong. That 1M should rotate nicely though!

I had such a fun weekend and loving this car at the track. I am such a newbie but having fun. My instructor said I will be moving to Blue for the next event.
The only bad thing of the weekend was in my last session and on the way home (and to work this moring), I have pretty good judder when braking, so I think I have some brake pad deposits. It might be time for different brake pads. Time to do some "searching" for research. Last edited by Klepper1; 04-15-2013 at 11:13 AM.. |

PM me if you're interested...I know someone who has some used Pagid Yellows.
Congrats on the promotion. Those are far from being automatic with The Driver's Edge! You did well from what I saw. I was instructing in the silver FR-S...saw you pass us a couple of times. When's your next event?
