Finding the ultimate track wheel. From Volk TE37SL's to BBS FI's
BBS FI's have always been my favorite wheel for the M3. However the insane price tag and the fact that they only came in 19's always kept me away. The next best wheel in terms of strength and lightness were the TE37's. You can't beat that price either. So I ended up with a set of 19" TE37's for the street and 18's for the track. You could call me a TE37SL fanboy at that point. However, recently I had the opportunity to get a set of BBS FI's in an 18" wheel. Lets just say lust came before logic and I had to jump on them. I decided to sell both sets of my TE37's for 1 set of 18" FI's. After getting them mounted, I could not be happier. They are one of the rare wheels that are both beautiful and extremely functional. They also happen to join the high ranks of one of the few 18" wheels that barely clear the rear calipers of my 380gt kit (with altered bracket bolts).
PS. I'm aware I mounted the front wheel backwards. I was on borrowed time when using a friend's lift and didn't realize I put them on backwards until I was looking at the photos.

I'm corner balanced and used to bottom out at Laguna when I was a bit lower so probably not.

I believe they come in 3 finished. The 18's might look small but that's about it. I've seen them side by side and look the same only a bit more concave.

I really don't like matte black wheels, they look dirty.
But your car looks amazing no matter what wheels it has, and looks great with the FI's |

Oh the naughty things I'd do to own a set of 18" BBS FIs!
Great photos as always! Perfect exposure. Perfect white balance. Are the BBS FI a limited production or can that be ordered any time...like in 10 years, just about the length of time it'll take me to save up for these, haha.
