MY2012: Correlation between production number and production date?

My CA said BMWNA told her cars would be coming any day now. Praying for this week.

My CA put a call in with both the east and west coast ports and a call into the head of the Performance center, but hasn't got an answer yet from any of them.

Hopefully, he gets something. I'm working with my dealer as well. Will post if I find anything out today.

Ok, just got done talking to my CA.

He said that my car "has been released, however it hasn't yet been released to trucking".

I think this means that it's waiting for a truck to come and take it over to his dealership. We're going to follow up again tomorrow morning.

My buddy got told by his dealer who emailed the VPC that the VPC folks said still waitin for CARB approvals! I bet the paperwork did not even reach there yet! He did confirm he is going to get the 1k loyalty and 1k november cash which is the same as the new Mission to drive discount or whatever they called it on the front page. So basically you can get up to 2k off if you have loyalty as well. Not bad and a better deal than I got!

I do not know how you guys do it! It would be a living nightmare waiting like that! Especially if you did ED and got a taste of the car only to have to wait months again to drive it! I could never do ED

I'm expecting this to be the case, however my CA seems to be having some confusion on this. He says he's awaiting confirmation from BMW that these can be combined because he has a few customers (myself included) waiting on this info.

I don't see why they can't be combined... no point in offering a loyalty discount otherwise! lol

Friend is waiting anxiously here in the west coast. He is actually my next door neighbor and good friend and lurks the boards but surely will start being a regular once the car comes. He is like a man being tortured when each week goes by I get an email or call sayin ghe continues to suffer! Sucks for you all.

He said his sales guy "confirmed" the 2k discount but you know they are often wrong!

Hope everyone gets landed on a truck-Everyone enjoy your cars! It has been nice living vicariously through you all here and reminds me how much torture it was waiting for my ca! Makes you even appreciate it more. Now out to the garage to finishing polishing it and than take it to 8400!

Some have recommended getting a loan and paying it off early (like 6 months or so).

Update: Just talked to my CA. Car still hasn't been released to trucking, but he says his computer shows dealer delivery set for Nov 12 (Sat) which would mean pickup on Monday, Nov 14.

However, he's not sure if things will change and wants me to follow up with him at the end of the day (4:00-5:00) for more info.
