Why red and beige leather?

Why on earth have BMW released press cars and press photos of the car in red with beige leather?. Surely not the most sporty of choices?.
Wouldn't black with red leather or black leather seem a better choice.
I know it shouldn't make alot of difference but don't first impressions count alot even to motoring press?

Especially when everyone hates that red, except in pics where some poor soul has slaved over it for hours in photoshop trying to make it look halfway enticing.

honestly, as unbiased as these reviewers are the repulsive combination in that interior must have had some affect on the emotional attachment of the reviewers to the car, thus leading to subpar reviews thus leading to subpar initial sales...look what you've done bmw

I'm sure of it

Melbourne red looks nice on a sunny and well lit day. It looks dark and almost ketchup like on a overcast or when theres not enough light. I think Interlagos blue would have been a better choice, or just stick with the color on the M3 Concept.

LSB and LSB leather. At least it wouldn't be dull inside...

I do like EB quite a lot for the exterior, however, ever since the E46 I have thought the gray interior has been so bland, dull and uninspiring. I do like the color gray a lot as well. Just doen't look good for the interior of a BMW IMO.

Sparkling Graphite w/ red interior would've been nice.

I was wondering why the hell all the promo pics and the brochure is of a stunning white M3 yet they use this godawful red/beige combo on the press car myself?

Planned or just incompetence? Are BMW trying to weedle out the orders that arent serious and will fall out once they have to be committed so proper orders can be met sooner? Why not 19 inch wheels too? Who am I? Why are we here? Whats going on? The truth is out there, I just wish it was in here.

Perhaps because Melbourne Red is the only new colour other than Jerez Black, which traditionally doesn't photograph well?

Ding, Ding....we have a winner. Exactly why they did it. Classic sport colors, and looks fantastic in person. Can't wait to buy one.
