They did my company jet and it was about $3k for the winglets, front nose, antenna box and several other areas. Repainting those parts only on the plane costed me around $10k each time every year, so it was a no brainer. My Q7 I only did the front bumper and that was a little over $500.

I was there last year and will probably go this year as well. Too early to tell right now. Thanks, but to be honest, the M would be my favorite all around car. The rest are great weekend cars with the exception of hte R8 as I drive it to work half the week. Having rtronic is also great for the traffic I hit from time to time too. Too bad smg auto drive mode is nothing like the rtronic on the r8 for street driving.

You should stop by South Bay BMW this Saturday at 10 AM. I'd be happy to show you the car, give you an idea of what it's like.

Do they do a full clean and wax for you before they apply this clear bra?

tempting, but I think I'm going to pass. If you're a 22 yr old female asian...well, that's a different story!

xcellere, thanks for the invite and would love to take you up on it, but I will be at mfest this weekend. Hope you can make it out!

I'm sure he would be willing to consider changing for a chance to drive your rides.

I hear Premier is excellent but if I was from SoCal I would rather have someone in SoCal do it. Warranty work and what not would be a pain if it needs to be redone since they are in SoCal. Just food for thought.

Um people, we have been had. At this point I am not sure if it is car-spam, or simply an add. Wait......

You don't think we could get a group-buy for the saranwrap? IF we get enough people, maybe they could cut it down to $4K!

Xcellere seems to be a legitimate soon to be M3 owner, so I don't think he's spamming.

i agree about premier being the best. I do want to warn you guys that the clear film has chipped on me before. If you hit a sharp rock it will penetrate the film so just dont expect it to be 100% chip proof.

It is way better than going bare as the bumper will look like hell after 1 month.

Some people like it bare.

I've had it happen to me once, but no damage to the paint. For me I haven't had the need to get it redone on any car, but I'm sure it would be beat to hell by now. What I like about this stuff is that repainting is really going to affect the value of my car(s). On my F430, I had to have it repainted from Premier (a different company) and my due bill was $2100 for just the bumper. They did resand everything, so it was a complete job, but the car was in there for 2 weeks. I like the fact that if something gets dinged, I can have it redone within the day. btw, anyone going to mfest with their new M3?

I'll be at the M-fest SpeedVentures track day Sunday at Spring Mountain in my S2000

Will you be at the track? Say HI if so!

BTW, on the clear bra -- is it really necessary to wash/wax that often and why?

I'll be bringing my M5 and my buddy's bringing the M6. Hopefully the weather holds up as it will be a nice drive. Just be careful out there as I've spoken to a friend who's a seargant with CHP that they are well aware of the events this weekend.

Who on the east coast NY/NJ/CT does this type of great work, I don't want the precut clear bra, I've done searches and couldn't come up with anything.

Technik 1 in NYC claims that they are the only premier clear bra installer in the area. They only do custom-made bulk film as well.

What the hell? How am I spamming or posting an ad? I'm getting my car done by them and I'm excited, simple as that.
