Frozen silver special edition. Fully loaded??

Someone please please tell me why on Earth would BMW put out an $82k special edition Frozen Silver M3 and NOT put premium audio in it?

As stupid as this sounds, this is making me hesitate on purchasing this car. I have had cars with the premium an without. I told my self I would never buy a bmw without it again. To me it is a Huge difference.

Anyone here feel the same.
that and I can order a Individual car for way less. hmm

If you are having reservations about making the purchase, don't do it! You'll only live to regret it later. Now some may say just add a aftermarket sound system, but I say it's not the same. IMHO it cheapens the car and would definitely take away from it's exclusivity......Phil

Sorry but the car is not worth the premium that they want for it. Do Individual imo.

If you’re buying an M3 around the sounds system, maybe you shouldn't be buying one at all. I rarely have mine on, there’s something much nicer to listen to up front.

Premium Audio is important if you're going with a super premium price. For 82K you should get everything and anything you want.

Better to order the car you want and custom paint when it gets here. There are plenty of great body shops that can get you a quality frozen paint job.
And yes, even going with BMW Individual is cheaper than that car on the lot.

I'd also look at a fully loaded C63 coupe for that price.

To me the audio system is not that important I prefer the sound of the exhaust and engine I agree with you that BMW missed the boat here by not putting a better system in this high priced car, however, I find that the standard system for what I use it is just fine.

If you hesitate don't do it since as others said you will only regret it later and that might be too expensive to bear.

Obviously the sound system is important to you. I can feel where some people are coming from saying if you're buying for the audio, then from the enthusiast perspective, you're certainly buying the car for the wrong reason. At the end of the day though, it's YOUR car and you shouldn't have to settle for less then what you want... especially since your dishing out your hard earned cash.

While I know for a fact, if you went aftermarket you could put together a sound system that would make the BMW premium audio sound like it came out of a civic, and for easily less then 1900... the initial price of 82k sounds pretty steep to begin with, and that's a lot of money you could have put towards other mods/accessories.

Imo, I'm going to have to side with the group that says be patient and just custom order one to your specs. In the end you'll probably get it for cheaper then 82k and obviously you'll have no regrets since everything that you wanted is in the car.

Wait...my car has a stereo system?? I never cared enough to look for it with all that power under the hood!! lol

Seriously though I had the premium sound in my last M and didnt get it this time around. As a person who doesnt really use his M as a DD I think the premium sound is a waste of money. If this were a 7 series then I would say the system is a must. With the M3 spend the 2K on a nice exhaust...trust me you will way rather hear that!

New. But this is before taxes/licenses, etc. I got an okay deal. Could have been better from what I've seen around here.

Very nice. I wish they were giving those kind of discounts on the C63.
