New 2013 M3 owner

Just did a status check on my production number, its production is complete and awaiting shipment!

Car is a Mineral white/Fox Red 6MT coupe with all the goodies

I'm already awaiting for the LUX angel eyes to come back in stock so I can order em.

How long can I expect for the delivery to take to the dealer?

Thanks.. my original delivery date was estimated in august sometime, so it coming early was a good surprise!

Mine is at port waiting to leave. Hope to have it delivered through PCD by end of July, about a month ahead of schedule =)

I tried to catch a '12 allocation in flight first part of May and missed out. Guess I was pretty fortunate to get in n the first of the '13s. Nothing like buying a 6yr (model) old *new* car. Still very excited here heh.

Has the EPA and CARB clearance been issued by the gov't? 'Cause they can't give you the car until it has been, and as of last week, it hadn't been issued.

Yup, while I'm sure the next gen model will be great as well, I prefer the high revving V8 to the turbo 6 setup, I'm a visceral kind of guy

They had one in mineral white/fox red at the dealer I went to, all it took was one look and I was sold on the color combo.. its gorgeous

You are there! It's good to know your personal car is built up to your spec and is on its way to you!

It was cool tracking the ship over, through the panama canal, etc. I was actually amazed at how fast the trip was considering the distance.

Alot of people around here will remember when all of our 2012s were stuck at US ports waiting EPA/CARB release. Positively killed me. I was pissed. Unneeded bureaucratic delay. I was imagining all the cars sitting at the port sitting getting dusty.

I'm praying you guys don't get a similar delay.

Agreed - there's a new era upon us, and one I'm not sure many purists will enjoy. The way I see it, this next generation of cars is a transitionary release, whereas they are still big and heavy but forced to reduce emissions and meet strict fuel economy targets. The result will be heavy, forced induction cars with far too many electronic driving-aides muting the experience. I imagine the generation after that will utilize lighter materials and improved technology, allowing us to return to purer driving experiences in the sports/performance offerings. The market will correct itself, technology will improve, economies of scale will be realized, and hopefully massive findings of oil will be announced.

Yes, I'm very eager for my Euro Delivery in September, as I'm sure you are for PCD later this month. Looking forward to seeing your photos and hearing about the experience.
