Maybe BMW anounced Sachs but put KW CS. G-Power also uses KW V3 or KW V3 CS for the M3. We also had another white M3 track car, in fact it was a stock M3 with KW V3 CS, Brembo, Akrapovic, OZ Superleggera and track tires. With all this it was faster than the M3 CSL.

If the coilovers on the GTS is indeed made by KW, just order a KW Club Sport kit and call it good. Spring rates and valving will be very similar.
We know the 800 lb rear springs is right where the rate should be. Did anyone confirm the front rates? 400-500F would be a good match to the 800R. |

ClubSport front springs are a 510 lb/in rate, as a frame of refrence.

I've talked to a KW engineer in Germany. The GTS uses custom valved dampers specified by M GmbH. As for springs they are supposedly "custom" as well, but "similar" to the CS kit.
Front rate is not yet confirmed, but length is 170 mm. Rear rate is 140 N/mm (799#/in), length is unknown. |

But couldn't they be adjusted to a simlar dampening to the GTS since they're adjustable?
Is the GTS rebound/bound adjustable too? .

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I've been scouting the web, hoping to find someone posting detailed pictures of their own GTS but no luck so far.
On another note -and I'm sure this has been discussed before- I find it really interesting how BMW used to make really cool custom parts on its special versions (eg: E36 GT, E46 CSL) but on the E92 they appear to have gone with stuff that is pretty much off the shelf. Anyhow I found this pic of the suspension tool kit of the GTS. Those who have KW coilovers should be familiar with it! |

Does the GTS have any reinforcement for the unibody, particularly where the subframe and struts mount? All the previous BMWs seem to suffer from cracked boot floors and mushroomed strut towers from hard driving especially with firmer suspension.

As Richard said, the GTS uses a custom iteration of the KW Clubsport suspension set. Many often times thought it had the KW competition suspension, but it does not.
It is not Sachs, or any other brand.
