2006 330ix vs 2004 330i

For those who are interested:
A 2006 330ix with automatic is exactly as slow/fast as a manual 330i 2004 model.

From 0 to 170Km/h we where head to head, I don't think the cars deviated more than an inch throughout all of the acceleration.
I’m very disappointed…

Why be disappointed? XI's will always have more powertrain losses. In addition to that you have an auto which further lowers the HP & torque advantage you have over the 04 330i. IMO you have a very nice car so just enjoy it.

I do, just that I regret that I chose the XI. Have no use for it, and handling isn't as good as the rwd.

i suppose you're referring to dry road handling?
my xi allows me to create expansive spaces between myself and other cars (behind me) on the road, when raining/snowing.

Yea, but also bumps in the road. Feels like the xi takes longer time to settle after hitting a bump or uneven surfaces.

hmmm...the only difference i've noticed between my awd and my mom's rwd is that the awd seems a bit more firm. it's not the rebound, more like differences in spring rate.

alas, i can't prove shit. all i have are theories.

Maybe it’s caused by my AC Schnitzer kit, think they lowered the car and changed the springs.
To bad if that makes the cars handling worse...
