Thanks guys for the help, I just saw a Dell U2412M for 369 free shipping and with a 5% coupon, I got it at 380 shipped and with taxes. A lot more in my budget.

They only ship within Canada tho.

well after a lot of reading of reviews, comparisons, and models specs i decided to go for the ASUS PA246Q. it seems superior than the others and as i dont plan on changing it until is broken i decided to go with this one. i was looking around for the Dell U2410 because i read that it was better than the U2412m but couldnt find so i took the Asus. Hopefully i will have it by Friday.

How much did you pay panicos?

Nice purchase as well. The 2410 is discontinued; so thats why its hard to get. There was one brand new on ebay tho; but maybe it didnt ship oversea.

it was 450euro and another 50 for delivery. total 500 euro.. hope its worth it. you guys are lucky there, getting everything cheap, in the US it would be 500$.

Wow; for that kind of money, you can get a U2711 here.

But Dell is well established in Canada; even if they're based in the US; so we get good deals. If you're patient enough to see the item you look at in the Days of Deals, you save even more. I got my GF's laptop on there for $269 while the MSRP was over $500.

Did you check the shipping costs on Dell's site? It may be worth it if they ship to your country. (I know its too late for this one, but for future orders maybe?)

i check from amazon but the shipping goes up to 200+ $ and then theres another 17% VAT (value added tax for countries outside europe) plus some other miscellaneous taxes added from customs.. eventually it gets more.. only way to buy something outside europe and save some money is if you agree with the seller to reduce the invoice price and save some from taxes.

They didnt want to price match so i'll have to refuse the one that is on the way at 349 and order a new one at 249. Which is stupid in my opinion, but $100 is $100.

Now i'm wondering... Single 24" or Dual? At this kind of price, its almost tempting.

i've seen the light.. omg the asus is perfect.. although it seems a bit bright.. i'll use the calibrate thing from mac

problem is now i don't like any of my old photos.. color is not as i imagined.. stupid samsung tv..

Good to hear that you're happy with your screen.

I got my two screens yesterday. Very nice and bright colors.

Its not the U2711; for for half of the price of a 27, I get two 24's. So you cant go wrong with that.

I now see blemishes in my pictures that I didnt see with my laptop screen. Which is a good sign I guess!

Now, I got a pretty big backlog of pictures to process!

Good prices on these OCZ Vertex drives. I bought one of these for a professor here about two weeks ago and it was $35 more. Been thinking about upgrading the MacBook Pro. Looks like now is the time. I think this is a one day sale.

Any S-IPS from Korea will be almost as good as a 1k Dell, for 1/3 - 1/2 the price.

Good luck if you have to return it for any reason tho. Its gonna cost you the monitor's price just in shipping.
