Mysterious Door Jam Sticker - Rod Bearing or engine replacement?

I'm shopping for E9X's and the seller is suggesting that this factory looking sticker in the door jam indicates a rod bearing recall has been performed (or perhaps a engine replacement)?

Look familiar to anyone? going to call BMW tomorrow when they're open, figured I'd try here first.

It was never recalled for rod bearings, so that's a lie.

I said the exact same thing, there was never an official recall. Still doesn't explain the sticker however. IIRC, this was the same sticker BMW used for the S54 rod bearing recall.

I'm not saying they weren't replaced, there was just never a service bulletin or recall. I'm not sure if they do this for a warrantied engine replacement.

No, I hear you. Doing a bit more searching, I'm thinking it was placed there when the car went into the dealer for the battery cable recall on the E9X.

I've had the battery cable and airbag recalls done and didn't get one.

Check the carfax. A dealer recall that would most likely be listed. Never heard of a sticker, cause you could easily forge that repair.
It won't load so can't see it but if it's a small barcode it's an aftermarket theft id that isn't worth the paper it's printed on. 😂

I recommend pulling a Carfax and calling the shops who serviced the vehicle. Dealer or independent. The dealers can verify any service/recall services and an independent can verify any service history they have for the vehicle.
