Obviously, easy solution is weld it up and switch to external WGs. BUT like other people have mentioned, space is a premium with the E9x and the BW is a plus size snail.

It's a shame there's not more space to do a top mount setup, unless you want to hack up the hood like the ridic D3Performance TT-Vette (ironically, which uses BWs).

Regarding tuning, a standalone is ideal for this. However, no one has a CAN setup, prefab'd harnesses, or DCT integration. Sevens says we should expect something in the future, but they've also taken on higher priority projects with a Huracan/R8 V10 DCT harness.
The OP is going to use the Syvecs standalone ecu which integrates with the CAN bus. Check out this video showing it working with the E92 DCT:

Syvecs is 100% the most promising option. I mean, they are the only option who's shown any development interest, vs. Motec/ProEFI/AEM. However, until I see any users with a working setup, I'll hold my reservations on a standalone that after fully installed+tuned sets you back between $7.5k-$10k (depending on sensors/features).

I am NOT doubting Syvecs, it's already shown that it's very potent on the GTR and 997 Porsche (AMS/Switzer/Anthony's EVOMS Turbo). I just want to see a working setup, which I certainly hope for since this is the ideal setup for an N/A to TT conversion.

I'm very hopeful, too. I'm used to using Cobb Access Port and HP Tuners for tuning my cars over the years. The lack of tuning options for the factory ecu for a DIY person stinks. Back to the thread topic

Sweet. Bring it to NoFlyZone Bakersfield at Shafter Airstrip. April 2. Usually a few S/C M3's to run to show what this kit can do. @600 wheel would be a monster.

This right here, go with Jimmy to no fly zone and then you guys can race each other. Both 6mts should make a good race for the twins vs supercharger comparison.

There are usually a few new turbo m4's so if there is an upgraded turbo 6mt that should be good one too.

Jimmy is actually a good friend of mine, I'm sure we'll both go to no fly zone. His car is being worked on right now so hopefully it gets running right. Either way if he doesn't make it there, I'm sure we'll meet up one night in Mexico and do some comparisons

Yeah im sure his car will be ready for no fly zone, he is already planning to go. Seen your car a few times at Gintani when I have visited ACM west. Met you at bimmerfest last year, I was driving the Silverstone f80.

Is this using the factory crankshaft with factory rod bearings? If so, that's scary. I saw someone making a special S65 crankshaft out of some vanadium modified steel and I assumed it would be for a turbo S65 build. I wonder if it was this engine?

That is not this build this is a stock engine

The build you are talking about is using a set of BW EFR 7670 from memory...in my opinion the best turbo on the market for this platform

no not my build but sounds interesting! While I did change out the bearings I'm sticking with the stock crankshaft. We'll see how it holds up
